I believe this is because it's more of Spencer's story and they'd rather leave it for him to share! I'm really happy he did because I had NO idea and it really changes the albums for me!
MarkToast that's why they are my favorite band. Not that they make the music I love the most, that's not the case (they are only ONE of my favorites), but they're all good, smart people with an incredible sense of humor.
SPENCER IF YOU EVER SEE THIS : please make something like a vocal lesson covering some stuff on your technique, on the exercises that you think help you, your warm up exercises, your pitched scream, your highs, just anything... You are a vocal GOD!!! And to "All Thing Periphery" please upload more videos like those!! Awesome channel!! Thanks a lot!!
he was fucking cool when they were in vegas. We found him after a show on the street looking for a lighter lol. and we had a chat with him and his friends. Then instead of sending us on or way he invited us to hang with him at the bar. So we walked for half an hour to the cosmopolitan and hung at the chandalier bar for like 2 hours. very cool experience.
Wanna know something funny? Right before they released the album, I was in a band that was writing something very similar. We were about 4 songs deep into the writing process when Juggernaut dropped and we were all like, "Well fuck. Now what?"
I'd watch it as a Netflix show for sure but the music is such an integral part of it, I'd actually love to see it as some kind of musical. I've personally never seen a musical in this genre and I think it'd be a good way to bring the story to life without losing the songs behind it
It would be awesome if you guys did a sequel to Juggernaut's story, even tho it's already a masterpiece but seriously, a band album having much more content on it's lyrics than a book or something is just amazing
I miss all things periphery so much. Best Facebook group ever. I'm still friends with Scott on Facebook to this day. It was just great to get close to the band. And to share the love
2:48 I do the same! I sing along Periphery in my bathroom and actually, a day came when I went from 'with the mundane' type of range to 'give me a spine to work it out!'. I am still trying to expand it more
Psychosphere is probably the song that got me into the band. Was so glad when Periphery played it on the Hail Stan tour when I saw 'em. That one was a blast.
I love Spencer. Such a down to earth dude with the voice of gold. I also was binge watching American Horror story and I could've swore that Juggernaut Omega was kinda inspired by Season 2 in the Asylum. Everything kinda fit perfectly. And as much I love spencer to the moon and back, his "how to expand your range" tip is actually horrible. That's not how you learn to sing lol.
Damn this kinda like How The News Goes and Rick and Morty, after knowing those 2 had connections i had to see R&M, now i gotta watch AHS Season 2 by default lol
Somebody on Reddit had a theory about the juggernauts and holy hell he had it damn near perfect. if anyone know what im talking about they should throw a link on here for it.
benjamin decrane scroll up a little, it's posted in the comments here. The only part missing i s the priestess part and the jailing. I guess the jailing is put in 'reprise' and 'the bad thing'.
What's the tune there at the end? Absolutely love these guys. From their complete badassery, like in "The Bad Thing", to the pure amount of fun they put into it, like in "Scarlet". So damn good.
I just thought of something, for the Juggernaut story and how the mc maid a deal with the spirit of the underworld to be reborn, I thought it was wierd that there was no "catch" to the deal, so if you listen to the end song "stranger things" the ending for it is the same for the beginning of "The Black Minute" but it's played reversed in the black minute. So that makes me think that the "catch" was that he has to be reborn in his past life, live through all the torture and pain again just to try to stop his love from getting killed, only then will he be able to move on to another life. Just a theory though.
Damn it! The audio at the end scared me. Try to make the intro and outro the same volume as the rest of the video. Mastered music is MUCH louder than typical video footage.
Good insight! Now we just need a playthrough (singthrough) from ya man. Stranger things or Psychosphere! That Thonhill Studios gig you guys had filmed in 2011 is so good. Can't understand why it seems to get such little promotion/attention. Quite the epic singing performance. Maybe not like 100% perfect but I can't see anyone else in the world doing anywhere near as good a job. It's super impressive.
So someone on the Stranger Things team is obviously a Periphery fan, i mean the frickin name of the show is the final song on the album, a little kid is taken away at a young age and is experimented on, tries to escape. In simplified plotting terms they are kind of identical in a lot of ways, of course the actual events that happen are different man i cant help but think its not a coincidence lmao
Love you I should elaborate. I’ve met you twice and you’re so kind, it’s really wonderful. That, and Juggernaut came out right after I lost a friend to suicide, and having that new music to brighten the darkness was more than I could have hoped for. Juggernaut is a little hard to listen to as a result sometimes, but still, periphery makes some of the best music I’ve ever heard. You guys are an inspiration.
What about the ending of Juggernaut? Stranger Things ends with the same theme the records starts with. I always thought that it means the protagonist is reborn into the same life, into the same cult and the story loops itself.
Its left open ended to where its up to the listener to decide what happens, but at the same time leaves room for the story to continue, very well written, would be awesome if a sequel happened cause it would be about Jugg in "heaven" perhaps so we may get some softer tunes
Holy shit I never knew about the whole Juggernaut interpretation thing, would be awesome if they did the whole Devin Townsend thing where they play out the whole album in an almost musical like concert.
Hey man I gotta say....your vocal range is a bitch and a half to try and keep up with ! Every album you're hitting pitches that are more insane than the last. That being said, I can't wait for Hail Stan to come out
I feel like Spencer's lying that he's not religious based on his writing of hell and all that lol I know a few guys who have done that to be accepted more and not labeled as Christian in the metal community but fuck it who cares
Crazy! He said he couldn’t go as high as Casey and now we hear him sing satellites. Amazing!!
Misha, Matt, Jake, Mark & Nolly: We will try not to tell our fans about the Juggernaut concept, or in a very superficial way.
Spencer: Bitch please...

I believe this is because it's more of Spencer's story and they'd rather leave it for him to share! I'm really happy he did because I had NO idea and it really changes the albums for me!
Loved the recital of the Juggernaut story, thanks Spencer

Finally a Jugg explanation!! I've waited so long!!
joe scanzillo seems like the show Stranger Things" copied him
www.reddit.com/r/progmetal/comments/2uoz6b/my_interpretation_of_peripherys_juggernaut/ this is pretty spot on too
tacosR1 Gaming It really is spooky how much similarities they have between each other, but imo Juggernaut story is much better than Stranger Things
Same here, stranger things(show) wasn't good and over hyped.
Jugg sounds like a brutal horror flick, and it portrayed so well in the album, would love to see a movie or show about it would awesome af
Didn't think I could have any more respect for Spencer but holy shit, what a guy

Please make Jugg a Netflix original
DaAcoustikChicken yeah that would be fucking awesome, like make the albums story the movie but also have the music there too!
I’d watch the fuck outta that
