Great video!! When I put it on cruise control and click the toggle switch up to increase speed it keeps going up and up it doesn't stop. So if I'm driving at 60 and flip the switch up it just goes from 60 to 65 to 70 doesn't stop and I don't know how t stop it. Any suggestions?
If you disable the "highway drive assist" and "speed limit assist" in the settings and set the "follow distance" to the shortest length, this causes the "smart" aspect of "smart cruise control" to act very much like traditional cruise control.. All of these settings are "persistent" (meaning that they are remembered from one drive to the next). In the alternative, if you do the "long press" on the cruise control and use "speed limiter" instead of cruise control, then you can "lead-foot" and have it act almost exactly like traditional cruise control (I am not certain that the "speed limiter" version even has a "follow distance") except that you are keeping your foot on the gas pedal. Likewise, if you don't like the car adjusting or recommending an adjustment to the speed set on the limiter based on highway speed limits, you can disable that feature in settings and whatever you set the speed limited to will just stay as it is. Personally, I love the "speed limiter" because it allows one of the benefits of CC (set speed) while I am pressing all the way on the gas so I don't have to focus on how much pressure I am putting on the gas pedal... but at the same time, if traffic conditions change, just by lessening the pressure I am putting on the gas pedal can let me slow the car, just as if CC was not active at all.
I cannot find the setting to adjust the SCC acceleration rate. Wondering if that is not available on my Tucson PHEV Limited 2024? I wish it was. I would prefer a slower acceleration rate. For those who are wishing for normal cc instead of smart cc, disable the "highway drive assist" and "speed limit assist" in the settings and set the "follow distance" to the shortest length. Not necessarily as it uses the brakes without the driver knowing and will cause a lot of excess wear for the vehicle...not safer as the car does things without notifying the driver, same with the emergency brake is electric what happened to the idea of a redundant brake systems this one will not work with any failure of the electrical system, how do you exit the vehicle when there is not any way to unlock the doors from the inside when the battery is dead are passengers trapped in the car?? None of this is address by the over 500 pages of operating manual...technology out of control we will see how this plays out...not good so far...

I turn off as much "assist tech" as possible in my 2025 Santa Cruz. Love the vehicle, hate all the redundant tech.
If you want to return to normal cruise control you have just to press hold button of SCC in your steering wheel.

Is this available on the the Kona N?
Can i switch from smart cruise control to normal cruise control ?

why not in irish models?
My 2024 Sante Fe shuts off the Cruise Control if I wear sunglasses since it can't see my eyeballs. Help !
I have same issue in my 2025 Tucson. Have you figured out how to fix this?
@@lisastorm5115 There is supposed to be a setting to disable it, but it has not worked for me.
Good

Smart cruise control is absolute trash...give me back conventional cruise control!

long press does nothing on the 23. I have had the car for 4 months and it is impossible to disable this trash in any way.

How is it trash?
@@kevincano96 I set cruise to go a certain speed, not the speed of the person in front of me.
