I've just visited this area and Beilstein truly is a gem. It is also often overcrowded, so picking the right time to enjoy a bottle of wine on one of its magnificent terraced cafés without bumping into everyone else ... is quite a challenge

Post-quarantine awakening... For a quiet walk - Sunday morning is best. But if you would like to enjoy the stores/restaurants, then I'm afraid there's no escaping the popularity among other tourists. :)

Two world wars, a half-century of the country divided between NATO and USSR....famine and hard reconstruction after the wars...economic crises, war reparations to so many nations...and yet, the true Germany, traditional Germany, is the gem of Europe. Exceptional place. Maybe one day I will visit.
