Have you had an issue this year with it not moving? I bought mine last summer, worked great like yours!!! Broke it out to fill the pool again after completely emptying and scrubbing, filled to pool, added the salt, installed this vacuum two days later, and it will not move. I came across your UA-cam, while searching for a solution…By the way, I LOVE the video, and I have the exact same pool, vacuum and pump as you!

It appears that one gear is not moving. I have plenty of water pressure…I can’t figure this out and it is driving me CRAZY. It was still keeping the pool clear, with pollen resting on the bottom, until my son jumped in it, now it is cloudy and greenish. I’m going to take care of that with aluminum sulfate, but I need the vacuum to move, to clean it all off the bottom once I put that in the pool. The salt water level is still fine, although I am boosting it one the Chlorine Generator every other day… I’m lost…any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

@@EverydayMan Do you pull the vacuum out while your pump is still on? I did this yesterday and it resulted in a huge mess (because of my lack of forethought) from the water shooting out of the top of the vacuum as I tried to pull it up with one hand and quickly reach the controls on my sand pump. I panicked and hung it back into the water and then turned the pump off and , again, quickly tried to pull it out before all of the ick it just vacuumed could come rushing back into the pool. Fail. Of course it didn't all come back out, just a poof or so. I used the hand skimmer to get what I could out and set the vacuum down to clean it out today. I'm wondering if there's some sort of big bag/netting with small enough openings as to not allow the vacuumed debris to pass that could be placed around the vacuum before turning the pump off and removing it. If you or anyone has any ideas please share!

Best way to avoid spillage is to keep the pump on and pull the robot to you. Flip it upside down in the water and lift it up slightly until it's belly is floating. Undo the latches and CAREFULLY lift the bottom plate from one side while reaching in and keeping the screen filter from detaching.
Once you master it is not hard but it took a few times and big trash clouds.

Also I came out the other day to find the hose had kinked and stopped the filter system working which for me meant I lost about 4 degrees in temp which took a couple of days to get bk. Going to persist with it a little longer as we have had some storms here so has been particularly bad, but if not may go back to the old one.

@@EverydayMan Cheers big guy, I have to run my pump 24/7 due to our UK climate else I end up loosing too much temp and have the vacuum going most of the time as stupidly (not out of choice more out of necessity) set up the pool under a tree and am a bit OCD so like to try and keep it as debris free as possible for when we use it. I’ve also got a solar cover that sits on top of the water which as good as is it for keeping in the heat, is just as good at collecting everything that comes off the trees 🙄 which then falls into the pool whenever I roll back the cover. So it’s a bit of a constant battle I have. There’s a short vid on my page with my set up of your interested to see the differences.

Hi there! I just replaced my old pump with a more powerful Intex (2800 GPH) and that meant I could also buy one of these vacuums! I was so excited that I wouldn't need to manually clean my pool. However I'm having a problem! I set up the new pump, filter and vacuum. After a few minutes of running fine, the vaccum stopped working. So I took out the vacuum and I noticed some sand in the vacuum debri net gasket, along with a little bit of leaves and other small debri. I then backwashed my filter and noticed a lot of sand shoot out. My guess is this issue is what's causing a problem with function of the vacuum. But I can't figure out why the filter is shooting out the sand. This didn't happen with my old pump/ filter. Have you experienced this before? Any suggestions?

I have a 15ft x 33in summer waves pool and I got this vacuum for it. I did have to purchase the outlet connector and do a couple of changes. But I tried my vacuum out today and it really doesn’t move that much. I had to move it a couple of times to get it to pick up more stuff but then it would go back to being stuck. I cleaned out both filters couple of times. I even had to get in and move it around a bit, but didn’t pick up much. Any suggestions?

And make sure ur pump is on filter.. Hope that helps !! 👍
