i played vs that WB deck at locals aswell yesterday but luckily for me he had pretty bad luck so i ended up winning barely and getting my first top cut promo card (got 3rd in the end)
In that first game, I'm kinda shocked you didn't use your Tashigi (which I believe you said you had in that last turn) to counter out of the Newgate's 7k swing into your Rob Lucci. He only had 1 Don!! left open, so you know no more rush characters can pop out, and it would've given you 3 swings to go for lethal next turn rather than just 2... Am I just missing something? I mean, I'm not the best at this game but any means, but I can't see the value of holding onto that Tashigi going into what you know is going to be the last turn basically. Also on a semi-related note, what are your thoughts on the event "It's a Waste of Human Life"? I started teching in 1 copy in my deck to use against red matchups and I haven't had too many opportunities to use it yet, but in the games where I have it's been massively game changing. Like dropping that event on a Newgate when they've got 9+ cards in hand going into their 0 life left turn feels like it basically becomes an auto win almost! But it does kind of suck drawing into it when I'm not facing red... Really just wish we had a sideboard in this game lol
So as far as the first game he had used ace to lower Lucci to a 3k which made it impossible to defend that attack. But for the 8 cost card, I don't personally like running it to combat red. I usually can just get around it but need to see the necessary counter. But that's just me personally
hello I have a question that no one has answered convincing the answer and i wonder if you can help me to solve it, if luffy 10 Red Effect: [Rush] (This card can attack in the turn it is played.) [Once per turn] When your opponent activates a [Blocker], K.O. up to 1 of your opponent's characters with 8000 power or less. He attacks, and I activate a blocker in response to the attack, and Luffy activates his knockout effect kills the blocker, does Luffy's attack directly the leader? Or does the blocker block the attack even if it was destroyed by the effect? I'll be very greatful :D
No even if he KO's the blocker the attack would miss cause it's been redirected to the blocker if the blocker is removed the attack just misses into the void as the order chain would be 1) attack leader 2) block - now attacking blocker 3) effect destory blocker 4) attacking the space where the blocker would be as nothing has changed the attack back to the leader
No technically you attacked the card you KOd so your attack would become negated since the card is removed from the board. It wouldn't go to another character or leader.
@@hilfored oh yeah then you shouldn't have had to take an attack afterwards. If he had targeted your leader with the attack and then KOd the blocker then that works, but that's exactly how he'd have to do it

No sorry I don't ask for my opponents info usually because at the end of the day I'm their competitor at locals. If he'd like to share it he might see this comment and leave the list but that's totally up to him :)
You keep mentioning attacking characters when they're at 0 life, there's really no reason to do that if they have the same or greater power as leader, since if they can't defend it, they wouldn't just lost the game instead of letting the character die
You're not wrong, however not dealing with a second character to attack me can possibly be game winning and if they choose to let the character go rather than counter it could be beneficial to me. If I attack leader, they are forced to counter instead of potentially letting the character go. It's more of a check to see how my opponent reacts :)

Hey luck is definitely a factor in some of these matches. Gotta see the necessary cards to do anything haha
Leaving another generic comment for ya, going to do it on other videos till I get caught up. Appreciate you my dude!
