Thank you, wopila for sharing your wisdom with your takojas😁 i enjoy all the stories and it warms my heart to remember everything😁 i remember camping at Rosebud fair with my unci Mary LHB Randall in our canvas tent, favorite memories of growing up😁
Met Richard as a visitor from Germany several times in the 1980years. He appeaered to me as a well balanced, friendly and strong person, was then a young medicine man. Had a message for me: you can misuse everything, not only alcohol or drugs. Use whatever you like, but dont overdo. That is living, practising life in the balance of the 4 virtues. Thanks!
Pilamayaye, from New Mexico. I remember you and Sam. I slept in downstairs in the museum at Sinte Gleska one cold night. Woke up to hearing people talking very quietly. Of course, nobody was there. Then I went to my car until morning.
Thank you for your videos. I am 3rd generation removed from either Lakota and/or possibly Santee (premigration) I am stuck in the Trails of Tears era. My wife and I along with a close friend of ours from our church are going to be working with Pine Ridge. We have several Lakota here in Albuquerque in our church. We understand the importance of protecting the culture. And have seen the damage for breaking from the tradition. All these videos have been very helpful please keep them going. God bless you all.
That was wonderful. Thank you. I watched this a little while ago and keep thinking about how Mr. Two Camps seems to flip between Lakota and English so effortlessly; it's made me reflect on what it must be like to be fluent in both a verb and noun based language, and what advantages that gives a person in their world view.
For the last couple of years, I have watched Sinte Gleska videos, they are very comforting and enlightening. I have always been partial to American Indians and many of the more famous ones have been my role models. I have actually become a more Spiritual person and gained strength from the wisdom in these videos. I always stand with Native Americans, love their culture and lessons. I do think that in the end, they will save the earth and make it a better place. I've followed their history and wisdom since I was a child. In 1958, I became very fond of a TV show, "Cochise", I think they did try to keep it mostly truly historic, in spite of the fact that the star of the show (and played Cochise), Michael Ansara, was in fact from Syria, and not related to any of our "Real" Indians. I think they did really try to follow true history on that show. And in black & white he did appear to be a real American Indian. I hope you keep showing these videos, they are packed with true wisdom and common sense, makes so much more sense than the way I grew up in my white family. I really appreciate you sharing your wisdom with myself and others. I have huge respect and admiration for Native American Indians remaining strong after all the horrors your ancestors had to live through.
Thank you very much for sharing this! ❤
