    I’m so glad you are making more videos on this platform for us to enjoy! ❤I hope to see more real life budgets soon. I’ve already watched (& re-watched) all of the ones on your channel and can’t wait for more 🎉 it’s my favorite! Maybe I’m nosey, but I think I just like to see the real numbers from real people. It’s motivating! Maybe I should send ours! 😂

    Miko,Don't beat yourself up over your meal plan we all struggle thru it, I watch Acre homestead on UA-cam and she is amazing, she prepares meals ahead and it has helped me a little. Love from California. 😊

    I started tracking 12.31 and it is definitely eye opening. I spent WAY too much on groceries the very first day. My teenagers are no longer allowed to eat.. lol
    But I love these videos! They are teaching me so much about what I need to be doing for my goals.
    Thanks Miko!!! ❤️

    Oh, I LOVE the idea of using the BBP meal plan calendar to write down WHEN & WHERE you eat out, searching for trends. ❤🎉 I failed miserably on meal planning last year. I think it contributed to my weight gain.😢
    In December, I started packing food for work again. In ONE week, by not buying breakfast and/or lunch, I saved $83!!! 😮😮
    I also like to use the LRP spending tracker to keep us accountable for how often my husband and/or I eat out. He's a truck driver, so he gets some leeway. 😂

    Filled out my workbook this week and i already feel a new sense of peace! Thanks for the permission and ABILITY to start my tracking period when I get paid rather than the regular 1-31st - this has helped tremendously as when i transitioned from weekly pay to a biweekly salary I’ve been struggling to close out my budget

    Miko, what if I color in my sinking funds leaf for a category and then have to use some $$ (say, for a car category)? The colored-in part wd then not be the actual anymore. Do I just put a sticky-note there to remind me not to color any more til I "make up" the difference? 🤷‍♀💚

    Just rewatched. I just wanted to let you know what I did. I have the printable version and I added a thoughts and notes page on the back of my meal plan and I named it what we actually ate. So I can keep up with both.

    I just started the other day and ran into my first problem. I shopped at a store where I purchased dog food, household, and food. Plus there is sales tax totally about 7.00 So How do I pull it out in the cash... Do you just pull from one envelope and then go home and tally up the totals the other envelopes owe the one back or ???

    • @mandywanrooy6796
      @mandywanrooy6796 11 днів тому +1

      Hi! So what i do,if the dog food, household items and food are all different envelope categories for you,i would just pay per categorie.So pay for the dog food,pay cash and get your change and receipt.And repeat this in the other 2 categories.
      Now,if you would go to something as costco,and you just wanna purchase big amount of stuff once a month,i'd put it in an costco envelope and then pay for it all under one envelope,if that makes sense.

      Are you tracking your spending and goals or have a budget in any way? It's important that all people regardless of their income have a budget and track their progress. Small amounts ADD UP!

    • @thebudgetmom
      @thebudgetmom  12 днів тому +8

      @@christypollock5874 I don't recommend filing for bankruptcy. Instead, a bare-bones budget. Cut EVERYTHING you do not NEED. You will then see if it's an income problem. If it is, think of ways to increase your income. YOU CAN DO IT. Remember, where you are is a temporary spot. Face your situation head on and make small changes, you can do it. If you don't know where to start, I recommend starting with my free budgeting course you can find at courses.thebudgetmom.com

      The printable *is* a digital format. I’ve used the digital BBP on my iPad for 6+ years & love it. Just import it into Goodnotes (or other app of your choice).
      The new BBP has the monthly calendar split on 2 pages so either just import any single page monthly calendar u can find for free online or use an older version of the BBP when there was a single page calendar option available to.
      One other option is just copy the single sheet meal plan calendar & paste it at the front of the month. If u digital plan u know how easy it is to cover the “monthly meal plan” title.
