Hey Dave, I recreated your Verby Lead within Reason in my ableton template. When I disarm the patch on my Novation controller and re-arm it, the sound is sustaining. How can I fix this? Only happens with Reason.
yes - reason has this issue specifically. it’s because when you disarm it with sustain pedal down, reason holds on to that. that’s why I use chain selector instead! chain selector only lets MIDI cc commands through when disarmed.
This solution is great, Dave could you explain how you set up the sub drop trigger? I have the sample and I’ve set it to no quantize, when I hit it my session starts freaking out
I have that particular button on the LCXL as a MIDI Note Value. Then I make sure in my MIDI preferences that I allow "Track"' on the Input of the LCXL. Then, the Sub Drop sample is on a Drum Rack, and I drop it on the note that corresponds to the note I set on my LCXL. For instance, it could be like C8 or E-2 -- I try to keep way out of range of anything I'd normally play on my keyboard just in case. But then you're going to want to make sure to set the MIDI Input of that channel to your Launch Control, and make sure none of your other instruments are "listening" to that MIDI source so you don't get any unwanted triggers!
@@thedavidfunk_How do you use a sub drop in a live environment? 👀 I thought only percussion people used it but I guess the keys can also do percussion stuff?
I could have gone into more detail on that -- it's actually the Launch Mode of the clip (found in the clip properties down in the bottom left) - the default is "Trigger" which is normal behavior. But I have all those drone clips set to "Toggle" which means if you trigger them again when they're already playing they will stop! very cool
Good stuff Bro👍.. Any chance on dropping more of this content☝️? Ableton related, and a little BTS on your approach of arranging tracks? Blessings man🙏

Thanks, David! I would love if you would show us how do you toggle on/off the Texture Drone with the same button too

@@thedavidfunk_ I totally forgot about the “toogle” option when using clips! Thank you 🙏

My nanokontrol record button lights up with the click but I think that's just how that button works.
