Haven't watched yet but will do. I love your voice! Thanks for doing this podcast, it's brought me joy (including snort laughs and doubling over in public), comfort, knowledge...
Been a huge Kiefer fan since 24. Met him randomly on the street in Toronto. I definitely fanboyed hard and he was very polite. What a great guest for the podcast.
I was in downtown palm springs.. celebrating my 35th birthday around october 4th.. 2015 with my then fiance' We stayed at the Hilton...it was a decent room. We go to the pool as it was still kinda sweltering hot from the tail end of the summer still and were technically in the desert . Her and I jump in the pool... and were hanging.. and I make a subtle turn to the right .. and boom.. I see KEIFER casually hanging out with a huge kool aid smile.. I don't know if he was just being himself or it was the two 20/30 something blondes that were around him. Who I ACTUALLY ASSUMED WERE ACTUALLY FAMILY MEMBERS of his then way he was casually hanging with them Or I then entertained the possibility that they were fans...who wanted time with him But I remember being hyper focused on them cus I wanted to go say hi and shake his hand and tell him how much STAND BY ME and LOST BOYS were a vital part of my childhood.. but these young ladies did not leave his side the entire time and i was a little upset about it lol But anyways ....it was probably the first time I've randomly seen a celebrity as huge as he is randomly hanging out without any kinda entourage or security and I think that's indicative of a very well rounded and normal celebrity to just hang like a civilian after a 3 decade well DECORATED career
This is great, been a massive lost boys fanatic since I was 7 years old when the movie came out, watched it religiously on vhs 📼, great seeing these two
I had the pleasure of working with Jason Patric on "Becoming" back in 2018. Very focused and methodical, very professional. I had to interact with him a number of times during the show. Everytime he was very to himself, very quiet, somewhat timid. Almost each time, I wanted to try and be friendly with him, like strike up a conversation. But I needed to remind myself to be professional. So I did my job without trying to be a fan and refrained from doing any of that. Plus I also did feel a bit timid meeting him so I was probably also too intimidated. When we wrapped him a week later, in afternoon. As I took the mic pack from him, I soon noticed alot of people were crowding around him, shaking his hand and thanking him for his time on set. I too wanted to thank him for the pleasure of working with him but again, I wanted to keep it on a professional level. So again, I refrained and instead walked back to my area and started packing up for the next scene. I had to remind myself, I'm still here to do a job, not to be a fanboy. Then in the corner of my eye I saw him walk up to me, extending his hand. A little surprised, I shook his hand while he thanked me for all the hard work I've done during his time on set. He was humbled, and seemingly much more relaxed compared to my first impression of him. It was my first experience to see a methodical style of acting first hand. Very memorable, my first time meeting Jason Patric.
Love this story (and I hope it is true-sorry, these days there are trolls everywhere so cma). I have loved JP since his early days and continue to watch his films (He was great in "Becoming" but I hated his character's fate). He is quite methodical, intense, passionate and fearless. I love that he chases his art, not fame, and never has. And he never traded on his family ties. He is a true artist.
I met jason Patric at comic con in 2019 and I waited and waited at his booth cause he wasn’t there and I did it for my mom who adores this guy to pieces .. he came up to the booth just seeing little me there waiting and was so damn down to earth and freaking tall to my 5’2 frame . I told him how much my mom adores him and loves him and how I became a fan at age 8 . He let me hug him and was so kind to sign a picture for my mom
I was an extra on the movie "Walker Payne" that stars Jason Patrick. It was a VERY long day. I think we got out of there about sometime after midnight or later? I can't remember, but at the end of shooting the scene and the end of the night, Jason stood there and shook each of our hands and thanked us. 100% respect this man just for doing something so simple to show his appreciation. Many actors wouldn't dream of doing that, but he treated every extra with respect.
Really enjoyed Jason and Kiefer talking about social media’s impact on celebrity and the lost art of mystery. Some very astute observations; I really appreciated their candor and humility.
I found it interesting but slightly hypocritical in the fact they are both doing a podcast which does dispel some of the mystery around their "celebrity" yet when others do similar "mindless crap" like Letterman, etc... it is bad? Sorta made Jason come off as a bit aloof.
@@itsharryhagen Ford is an introvert, maybe the studios make him do promo interviews? My grandfather lived in California in the 1970's and met Ford several times. Evidently ford was easy to get along with once he relaxed a little. But late night talk shows aren't a good fit for someone like Ford.

Love Jason, he has the most relaxing voice. Could listen to him for hours. Very excited to meet him again next month❤ So pleased Kiefer's been able to reschedule his European tour later this year.
Dude!! This was amazing. Watched the HELL out of Lost Boys back in the day. And Kiefer's just awesome. Had the great fortune of meeting him many years ago, and he's just a great dude.
It was interesting when you were asking Jason and Kiefer about their famous fathers, with Jason mentioning his even more famous grandfather, because in Canada, as famous as Kiefer and Donald obviously are, his grandfather, Tommy Douglas is also by far the most famous. He was a politician and known as the founder of Canada's public health system. Kiefer's very proud of that legacy and often speaks out whenever his grandfather is mentioned in a way that he doesn't agree with. It would've been interesting to get into that history and relationship as well.
Wow! What a treat! Both of my favorite Lost Boys as your first in-person interview on over a year. Intrigued by what I am going to learn about these kind and talented men. Keep up the good work Rosey. You have made Tuesdays the best day of the week and I thank you 🙏🏻❤️
Keifer is one of my favorite actors. Young Guns is one of my favorite movies of all time and I'm so happy that he's had such a great career as it has been an immense joy to partake in it.
Saw someone mention how great a guest Kiefer Sutherland would be in the comments for Sean Astin’s interview and got so excited by the prospect. Not disappointed in the slightest and even more happy to see Jason Patric as well! Really great interview, Michael!
I throughly enjoyed listening to the stories that these two told. They should write a book together some day. I never knew that Jason was related to Jackie Gleason. It was interesting to hear Kiefer talk about his childhood. Such a great episode.
Just got done watching this. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment. These two are so kind and their friendship is truly inspirational. I am so glad you addressed the Julia Roberts issue at the end. I have been wondering about that for years. Thanks for another phenomenal episode. Hope you have great week Rosey . ;0)
I’ve seen Kiefer live twice with his band and they’re phenomenal. Great stories and crowd interaction. Loved him since Stand By Me through 24 to Phone Booth and beyond.
Well that was the most phenomenal Podcast I’ve ever seen. Two great character actors with terrific personalities. Each giving one helluva of a interview . Major respect to both .

This was a killer ep! So amazing having them in person too after so long. So nice to see the friendship has endured. Dammit Chloe! Haha. Love 24. And wow Kiefer has some awesome song lyrics. Gonna have to check more of his music out
You are ALL of us when you asked that Julia Roberts question in the end. Jason seems nervous while Kiefer is just amused on those reckless years. Good job Mr. Rosenbaum!!!
I missed the opportunity to see these guys on stage in New York. I've never regretted it more than today. I saw James Earl Jones in "Drivng Miss Daisy" in the theater next door, didn't know about the play they were doing and wasn't staying in NY long enough to go see them...
Kiefer's voice is so distinctive....a really good podcast...was wondering if that Julia Robert thing would come up The energy is much higher when everyone is in the room

What a great interview. Man.... I didn't realize how much I missed them being in studio until I saw it. Great to see that people will be back in person!!
Michael, you have really arrived as a great interviewer. Helping your guests to expose / let go of the secret vulnerable stuff. It feels like you shepherd BOTH the guest AND the viewer into the space. Your interviews are a safe place to be vulnerable. Really great. Thanks a lot man
Initiation’s over, Michael. Time to join the club! Great interview with Kiefer Sutherland and Jason Patric. The Lost Boys is a classic and one of the best Vampire films ever made.
As someone who commutes and drives 3+ hours a day. I listen to a lot of podcasts. This is my favorite this year. Michael killed it balancing 2 guests into 1 seamless conversation where both voices feel heard.
How old were you when you realised the sax guy in the film is the same guy who does it on the soundtrack cd ? I think it was a few years after I first saw the film 🤷🏻😂😂
This was so good! Kiefer is incredible. I view him as a superstar, I've watched his movies since I was a kid - awesome to see how cool and chill he is in person.
Wow, what great guests! I listened this morning and it was a really, really great episode. I don’t know anyone that didn’t like the Lost Boys, such a good movie. And it was really interesting getting to know Jason and Kiefer more.
Wow. Can’t believe I’m just seeing this now. Such an underrated episode. Kiefer just giving out slices of humble pie with every question. What a cool guy! ❤
Jason is a great actor who really never gets the respect he deserves. If he cut my head off my birthday cake, he wouldn't have made it two steps. Excellent interview!
This was awesome! What a great duo to have as your first in-person guests! Such humble guys. Glad to hear Kiefer quit the cigs. I never would have pegged Jackie Gleason to not support his family. To the moon with this one.
I think it’s amazing how much like his dad and his brother Kiefer sounds...definitely peep the family resemblance. Great interviews! Also, loved Jason Patrick since Sleepers. That movie always makes me weep.
The Lost Boys is still one of my all-time favourite movies. I saw it when it was first released in theatres, and then bought it on VHS and wore. it. out! I bought it on DVD as soon as it was on that format, and I still watch it occasionally. I went to see it because I was already a big Kiefer fan, from when he was in "The Bay Boy". I've seen Kiefer on stage with his mom when they did "The Glass Menagerie" here in Toronto at the Royal Alexandra theatre. He could read me the phone book, if such things still existed, and I'd sit and listen! I also loved Jason in The Lost Boys, and watched pretty much everything he put out for a while after that. And I never did believe the crap that he stole Julia away! I try to stay away from reading the gossip rags. Thanks guys for a lovely chat. Thanks Michael for getting them to sit down with you :)
Kiefer Sutherland did so many great movies with Joel Schumacher. I think a lot of people crap on Schumacher because of _Batman & Robin_ but he did some great movies, like _Falling Down_ with Michael Douglas. I personally think he's underrated.
Very appreciative of this episode….I was enthralled listening to both Jason and Kiefer….so genuine, down to earth, honest talk about the entertainment industry.
Thank you for having two amazing guests on your show!! I've been waiting for an episode including them both! Lost Boys is my fave movie and I loved spotting the poster in a few Smallville episodes!
Great interview! That really made my night hearing about their friendship and their back and forth banter. Nice to hear from Jason Patric again, seems like a good guy.
This makes watching Lost Boys even more poignant because they actually became best friends IRL. Also the best friend bond is intense and heart breaking when it ends. I had a falling out with my best friend who was like a brother to me for nearly 20 years. Losing him from my life was far more traumatic than any breakup I've ever had with women. So I really feel for Kiefer here and it's amazing they reconciled. 💯
Thank you to all involved with this for totally reinforcing my total love for both of these amazing and talented men.. thank you for taking the time to do this. ❤️
Thank you for having such a great conversation with these two. You have a way of really letting us know who they are as people even if it is just a small part of their lives.
Imagine if he played a highly trained former navy seal, old friend of jacks, turned bad, kidnapped Kim ( happened every week), then when Jack catches up with him he kills Jason....... effortlessly.
I just wanted to skim through this so I fast forwarded 30 mins just to listen to a little; immediately got hooked and listened to the entire interview! so good!
I'm a third of the way through this podcast and just overwhelmed with amazement. Mr. Patric and Mr. Sutherland are truly gifted. Young guns was awesome! I'm glad no one died. Mr. Rosenbaum, is Gene Hackman a favorite of yours because of your Lex Luther connection? I loved your Lex!
I'm so excited for this episode!! I'm always excited for every episode of Inside of You 💙 Looking forward to what stories Kiefer, Jason will share and yay to back in the studio interview ^_^ So proud of you Michael and so proud to be your patron. Keep up the awesome work. I appreciate all you do and so grateful for you ❤️ Love you ❤️ Happy Tuesday 💙

Had a mad crush on Kiefer. But, both are incredibly talented actors and Jason Patric brings an intensity to his performances that is palpable!!! Great interview!

What was it like working with the legend Terrance Stamp who played Zod in Superman and it's subsequent sequel during the Young Guns shoot?
Sweet mother of abraham, I cant wait for this one. Lost boys.

Wow. Can’t believe I’m just seeing this now. Such an underrated episode. Kiefer just giving out slices of humble pie with every question. What a cool guy! ❤
Great show. I love the dynamic of their friendship. And I like Jason's perspective. That's a brain to pick.
This is probably my favourite one yet, but I'll be watching them all. Just brilliant.
Comes on over PA* Ladies and gentlemen we have a two-for-one special on The Lost Boys two-for- one special. Get it while it's hot 🔥🔥🔥
extra extra
I listened to part of this on my way to work. It is so good. I am so excited to finish it. Such great stories.
Glad you enjoy it!
I've loved these two since the 80s. Awesome episode!
I'm so glad Kiefer gave up the smokes. I gave them up 3 months ago. I was surprised to hear he had done it. Much love ♥️
That is great news 🤗🤗
Lost boys is one of those all time classic movies that i know i will be watching for the rest of my life. A very special movie.
Such a good interview. I've seen Kiefer in concert and he puts on a really good show. You hear the passion he has for the music!
Just came across this channel, finally actors I want to hear from, I'm an 80s kid now 42 so loving it
This makes watching Lost Boys even more poignant because they actually became best friends IRL.
The Lost Boys in the house !
Awesome Brotherman 😎🤘🌴☀️
Your Best Show to date !
Congratulations Michael !!
Thank you very much!
Thank you for having such a great conversation with these two. You have a way of really letting us know who they are as people even if it is just a small part of their lives.
Excited to see if they talk about the Dragonlance animated movie. Rosey played Tanis and Kiefer played Raistlin.
WHOA Rosey! What a big get, I can't watch it fast enough. I'm super excited for this one. So far the best part is that they are in PERSON!
Hope you enjoy it!
Imagine if Jason had an appearance on 24?
Imagine if he played a highly trained former navy seal, old friend of jacks, turned bad, kidnapped Kim ( happened every week), then when Jack catches up with him he kills Jason....... effortlessly.
I'd LOVE to see a Kiefer concert in Winnipeg, Canada!...need that to happen after this pandemic
Now we need a Fright Night episode! Perhaps Tom Holland to discuss his writing of a Fright Night 2 novel, & his plans for 3 & 4!!
god yes
Fright Nights Score is still fantastic! To this day!
I just wanted to skim through this so I fast forwarded 30 mins just to listen to a little; immediately got hooked and listened to the entire interview! so good!
holy shit .. I love kiefer but i never knew he was such a cool and humble guy!
Awesome to see the boys close like brothers after so many years. Also the fact they are still so grounded.
After Dark My Sweet is probably Jason Patric’s best role of his career, a real shame it doesn’t get the recognition it deserves.
I'm so excited for this episode!! I'm always excited for every episode of Inside of You 💙 Looking forward to what stories Kiefer, Jason will share and yay to back in the studio interview ^_^ So proud of you Michael and so proud to be your patron. Keep up the awesome work. I appreciate all you do and so grateful for you ❤️
Love you ❤️
Happy Tuesday 💙
grateful for you 💙
As an 90s kid, I absolutely love this podcast. Well done sir
Kiefer is my boo thang!!! 😂🤣😂
I love him so much!!!!!!
I watched the pod twice now and just wanted to thank you again for having them on. Been a huge fan of both Keifer and Jason for over 30 years. ❤️❤️
Should have asked kiefer about working on the three musketeers, lol, childhood favorite of mine.
Claudia mine too its my favorite out of the three movies i have seen partly because he does not die in that like he did lost boys and young guns 2 dammit Kiefer LOL
Had a mad crush on Kiefer. But, both are incredibly talented actors and Jason Patric brings an intensity to his performances that is palpable!!! Great interview!
