Nice review Nathan. Bad about the Sardines. But all in all the rest looks really great. I was looking some hot drinks like coco or coffee in there but i didn't see anything like that.
Greenhouse bubble insulation is good material for packaging - wrapped tightly in that stuff and packed snugly inside a cardboard box should minimise accidents from rough handling by the carrier.
@Nathan's MRE Probably could have just placed all these things in the sink and washed them with a bit of dish soap. Would have been easier than wiping them off and the smell and residue would be gone too. Thanks for trudging through this for us. Greatly appreciated.
Hi Nathan....great review....always bad when the seller doesn't pack well...as you say, they do cost enough to include a little bubble wrap...glad most of the contents survived though ....Thanks for sharing...ATB...Mick
Great review Nathan! Too bad one damaged item really messed things up but at least all the food looked good. I got a menu 7 at the end of last year which is the spicy goulash. Unfortunately mine had a little damage too but also has a best buy date of June 2017. Was not too pleased about that. Thanks for sharing!
Probably the best thing about a USGI MRE is the bombproof packaging. The tinned foods in the foreign rations are kinda neat but they are susceptible to damage. Especially the pull tab cans and those little foil sealed tins of pate' and fruit jam. Of course, the absolute worst thing, the oily, stinky sardines managed to open up. Personally I like tinned herring much better than sardines.
I gotta hand it to you another great save from the jaws of rancidity. I can't begin to imagine the stench from a can of Adriatic sardines. Well executed.
They need to be careful, though, because as you said, sardines or other canned rations should explode any moment and once it opened, the foul smell is present.
Wow what an awesome ration review Nathan, despite the sardines bursting, and coating the entire contents in fish slime lol, you still managed to save the majority of the ration for an awesome review, and besides it’s just sardines lol, probably not the best item in the ration anyways lol. It still turned out to be a massive ration, with some pretty fairly normal components lol.
So far I’ve only had American and bought a Russian MRE. Love the feed wish I could try as many of y’all UA-camrs in the community. Keep up the work! 🤣😂
My family has beehives, more than 200 years real honey, it must crystallize, at a low temperature..if it does not crystallize, then it is not real honey ..the only natural product that cannot be spoiled, can be put on an open wound as an anesthetic, to keep the wound from becoming infected . Everything you opened was sterilized and packed ... that is the standard, in Croatia.
I would make soapy bleach water and wash all the packages before opening next time. Just to be sure not to contaminate the food. Just an idea for the future. Hope you didn’t get sick.
I would bleach that towel even though its green just put it on the bottom of the whites in the machine and don't pour the bleach directly on it, should be ok.
Thats why its called CSO (Crkni Stoko Od-gladi) [Die Hungry Cattle -i took just little bit of artistic freedom in translation] makes your stomach wretch when you see the condition but all in all if that doesnt stop you, food is ok...

Awesome video, too bad about the sardines but honestly, I wouldn’t have eaten them anyways. Maybe you will be sent another, perhaps a different menu and we can watch that one too. Thanks for sharing!!
Excellent review my friend. Very sad that the ration is damaged. Actually the ration looks not bad enough. It can be said that European rations are a bit similar in composition of products.
Oh wow nasty burst sardines, KAVABON is coffee candy. Well the sardine juices all over everything make it a REALLY special ration. Yeah I am glad I cannot smell that. I am glad that the rest of the ration was good though. Thanks for the review.
Heeeyyyy I missed this totally.... You did not ring the bell son loll ;) Negatory to the Sardines , sorry mate... and Pository for the rest ;) nice as always Nathan *
To me anything with Tang is 100 percent artificial. I remember it in the 60’s when I was a kid along with Space Sticks and grape Fizzies. See if you can find late 1960’s Space Sticks. They came in peanut butter, caramel and chocolate flavors.
Freak. Of all things to bust, the sardines? Despite aroma, other sealed packages, should have survived. I believe, you can still kick this review, out of the park friend! Great save Nathan. Great ration and review, despite some difficulties. Awesome looking spread. Peace, John. Next time, will go better sir.
soldier get one of this packages + 500g bread its 24H rations there 6 menus types, and its lottery what you will get, because all come mixed and we all love them and hate in same time :) (depend what type you get)
Interesting and gross at the same time. Did not travel or store well, More good reasons not to like sardines, they explode into smelly salmanella bits.
Foreign armies are much smaller than the US's so they can afford to spend more per unit (meal), incorporating COTS items that taste better but have shorter shelf-lives etc. There is also the novelty value of stuff from a different country that makes it taste "better".
Strip club sardines lol. You right though. I worked security at a club years ago and had to check on girls in back in dressing room through the night. You got all the smells and seen all the scars. The 10s turned into 6s in the real light lol.
A great video sir darn shame about the fish I know that seller he never packs his rations properly that's why I never order off him a nice review 👍👍 up
It happens when supermarket products are used for MRE. In former Yugoslavian MRE (SDO) this was not posible. Reason: content of the cans was of “commercial” quality but can was without any labels ( no paint , no sticker, just enbosed code) . So, to open can you need can opener . Comercial cans , in oposite , are pre-cut , to alow easy toolless opening. And sardines ( in fact very good Eva brand) , simply snap under pressure. Old type of cans , usualy very thick and sturdy, you can kick, beat - they do not crack. One round world sailor( Mladen Sutej) dig out some cans from bilge , and , even coroded , content was intact . On the other side , some fancy commercila cans , in same enviroment blow-on in botulinum bomb!
Nice review Nathan. Bad about the Sardines. But all in all the rest looks really great. I was looking some hot drinks like coco or coffee in there but i didn't see anything like that.
So far everyone has liked our Croatian MRE...which is quite surprising and nice.
Great review Nathan. With the exception of the sardines, that was a good ration. Excellent job
this man sucks,i shown in comments what real MRE rewiew is looking like ,this is bullshit
Nice ration review)) Croatian language looks like a Russian. Easy to understand to me. Because I speak Russian and I'm from Estonia.
Nice save! I'm surprised how much food actually come in the European rations. They spare nothing.
Greenhouse bubble insulation is good material for packaging - wrapped tightly in that stuff and packed snugly inside a cardboard box should minimise accidents from rough handling by the carrier.
if my fingers smell like fish? or the chocolate hahahhahaha dying 😂😂😂
What translated are you using what’s the name of the app?!?!!!???
I would have sent the seller a link to your video showing the damage
im sure they will see it, i have a package also for you from Nem, I will ship it out Monday morning
@Nathan's MRE
Probably could have just placed all these things in the sink and washed them with a bit of dish soap. Would have been easier than wiping them off and the smell and residue would be gone too. Thanks for trudging through this for us. Greatly appreciated.
watershed44 yeah, he should have just photographed everything, washed it off cam and resumed the video, would have made for a much better review
Maybe soak in vinegar water , then throughly rinse with cold water
Sorry about your misfortune Nathan. Hopefully you can get a clean one in the future
To bad about the sardines. You did a good job saving the review Nathan.
Thanks Art
Hi Nathan....great review....always bad when the seller doesn't pack well...as you say, they do cost enough to include a little bubble wrap...glad most of the contents survived though ....Thanks for sharing...ATB...Mick
Can’t imagine the aroma from that box, I had a polish that’s was bust and it stunk the house out 👍
Great review Nathan! Too bad one damaged item really messed things up but at least all the food looked good. I got a menu 7 at the end of last year which is the spicy goulash. whats translator app do you use?

So what did it smell like really?
Did the seller get back to you?
I gotta hand it to you another great save from the jaws of rancidity. I can't begin to imagine the stench from a can of Adriatic sardines. Well executed.
I recently had a jam pot explode in my German ration. It was sticky all over but at least it smelled of Strawberries.
That sardine container reminds me of an old prom date ,from long ,long ago
Did we date the same girl?
It’s coffee bon bons. Great review sorry about the sardines.
They need to be careful, though, because as you said, sardines or other canned rations should explode any moment and once it opened, the foul smell is present.
I really thought there was gonna be a live bomb in there lol
Bummer about the sardines. At least it was the sardines and not something you were really interested in trying.
Wow what an awesome ration review Nathan, despite the sardines bursting, and coating the entire contents in fish slime lol, you still managed to save the majority of the ration for an awesome review, and besides it’s just sardines lol, probably not the best item in the ration anyways lol. At least the oil will make the box waterproof??
Otherwise interesting ration.
Nice job. Probably would have chunked that thing in the trash. What a trooper
Just dip everything in a bowl of water and throw out the paper parts after documenting.
Good review. Sorry that happened to u. Glad everything else was good.

It’s most probably fish and that can is chicken spread I love them
Awesome video, too bad about the sardines but honestly, I wouldn’t have eaten them anyways. Maybe you will be sent another, perhaps a different menu and we can watch that one too. Thanks for sharing!!

Sorry about those sardines bet they stunk up the house lol
The title of this video had me wondering if the explosion was in the bag of the meal, or in your bowels after trying it.
Wow that goulash looks good. Was it spicy?
Note: use a disposable liner next time I open an MRE.
Don't shoot the sender just the delivery guy. Been waiting 4 months for lithuanian rations
Looks like they were a little short on the wet naps!
I can't believe that didn't stink out half your house, lol. But otherwise, a pretty awesome meal. Great review.
Oh wow nasty burst sardines, KAVABON is coffee candy. Well the sardine juices all over everything make it a REALLY special ration. Yeah I am glad I cannot smell that. I am glad that the rest of the ration was good though. Thanks for the review.
That was disgusting but glad everything except the sardines were salvageable.
I was waiting for the BOOM!
yap that goulash looks good and like something I make at home named " jarkoya "
Heeeyyyy I missed this totally.... You did not ring the bell son loll ;) Negatory to the Sardines , sorry mate... and Pository for the rest ;) nice as always Nathan *
Well, at least it's physical damage on a fresh item and not a blown can of sardines. Can't imagine what the latter would smell like (surstromming?).
To me anything with Tang is 100 percent artificial. I remember it in the 60’s when I was a kid along with Space Sticks and grape Fizzies. See if you can find late 1960’s Space Sticks. They came in peanut butter, caramel and chocolate flavors.

You need a wet nap to clean off the wet nap.....not a good sign.
Not having much luck with the package but all turn out good in the end but only there was smell a vision tho lol
Should have got it onto a tray 😂
lol... strip club sardines. too funny. :D
Lol yep.
You should try chicken spread on bread
damn poor sardines are wrecked but did they spoil
I wonder what that would be like for soldiers in the field.
soldier get one of this packages + 500g bread its 24H rations
there 6 menus types, and its lottery what you will get, because all come mixed
and we all love them and hate in same time :) (depend what type you get)
to bad for sardins my brother is in the army and he never had this tipe 4 you will survive dont wory
You certainly didn't get that from Art and Nina! They would never send anything like that out.
Interesting and gross at the same time. Did not travel or store well, More good reasons not to like sardines, they explode into smelly salmanella bits.
the foreign rations are always so much more interesting and palatable than the US rations.
Foreign armies are much smaller than the US's so they can afford to spend more per unit (meal), incorporating COTS items that taste better but have shorter shelf-lives etc. There is also the novelty value of stuff from a different country that makes it taste "better".
I can buy all this at a local store
We know who doesn't go down to pink town
Micro fiber cloth to clean fish juice from items in a MRE. The next car you wax will smell bad!
Bad packaging with that Can v.s. sardines xD.

"Doesn't really smell like anything." That's good. It COULD have smelled like fish.
🙀 I’d be a little PO
Does this count as an "ASMR" video?
