Thank you Asgeir for this song; I think it exemplifies unselfish love on a man's part. He admires a woman, respects her enough to wait for her to want to commit to him, and lets her know she is loved in the meantime. Thank you for letting yourself be vulnerable in this song and in turn empowering others to do the same!

Ah, Asgeir's VOICE. I saw him perform a few years ago in the same small theatre that I heard Hozier in, and the sound of each of these young guy's voices live in that space will stay with me always. Heaven on earth. Thanks Asgeir.

I completely missed it before I gave this version my full attention with subtitles. Can you imagine what children would be coming up with if they were hearing poetry like this instead of the insane rantings of drug addicts that most of us grew up listening to. What a beautiful expression of duende: a running leap and the landing out beyond the patient longing encapsulated by the song. Sweet Lord. Pray for the children who are assaulted by modern "music" and share this with as many as possible. Love!
I know this is a really old comment, but maybe you will see this, some Icelandic trivia for you. His father is a relatively famous poet in Iceland and Ásgeir took his poems and made them into song. I actually think his Icelandic songs are more beautiful, it does not translate quite well into English. So you can actually by a poetry book by his father, Einar Einarsson :)
In my opinión lyrics talk about that conciousness some people call God. Everyone want to reach inner peace, we prove ourselves... We can also say that God ask for our heart (when you feel you need to conect with your soul). We all are just stardust and that conciousness is what makes us alive. In the official video of the song you can see how she swim in the regular live, but in one moment she goes deeper inside herself and find that ethernal conciousness that always was and will be there like a lover.
I'm absolutely certain we need more Mahogany Sessions in libraries. Plus, Asgeir is lovely.

Does anyone know where I can find tabs/chords to this? this is an amazing song but I can't really see the notes he is playing and cant find them online.
Anyone an idea about the chords used in this song? I'd love to play as well!
He's in a weird tuning I think that I can't figure out, but I did tune my guitar half a step down from standard tuning and pluck the open g string (now F#) all throughout each chords to keep that constant ringing like in the song played here. The chords are Basically B, C#, d# minor, F# for the verse, and then for the chorus it does a walk down of B, a# minor g# minor, d# minor, and then it walks back up using the same chords as the verse. Remember to tune your guitar half a step down to reach that low d# during the chorus, but otherwise you go higher with each chord in the verse. Hope that helps :) and sorry if that wasn't clear, let me know if you need any other specifics

he has a capo on the first fret (is this the word for it? sry, I'm neither english nor good at it). so is the guitar tuned down two half steps (one step)?
don't apologize, i wouldn't have noticed otherwise, and that is the word for it :) and here he does have a capo on the first fret, but I have no idea what tuning he is in. The way i described how to play was my own version of it and is slightly different from the way he plays it. I actually think i'm playing what the second guitarist plays in a way cause I think he's in standard tuning but tuned down a bit.
okay :) I can't hear what they are playing seperately even if I'm not that bad at putting together chords from a video. but two guitars are too much for me :D do you have an easier explanation for the chords you showed in our first answer? maybe that's a stupid question because I play the guitar myself but I can't do anything with them :/

Not 100% sure but I think Asgeir's tuning is DADGCC. Julius' I haven't figured out yet but his guitar is one half note down from Asgeir's.
