You really don’t have to apologise nor justify why you didn’t sleep in your dorm. You came there for an exam so you want to make sure that you are in an environment that makes you feel comfortable and well rested and really who could relax in a room where you don’t know about multiple legged surprise visitors.
Plus she's still paying for the room so that she can use it for times like this. If you're paying for something it shouldn't be infested with insects. Like I totally understand a few here and there and especially because she's not there very often but that was a lot. And if they don't know where they're coming from, and she didn't in the beginning, it would be really uncomfortable to go to sleep and not know if you're gonna wake up with bugs all over you. Plus she's taking bags in-and-out and she's taking food in-and-out so that could transport them or cause a worse problem. I definitely don't blame her at all. Id be upset too

Sadly German student homes are not really known to be the cleanest but I lived in one and your room is really next level. Really don't wanna know where they come from tbh sadly you never know who had the room before you and some people are honestly just disgusting as I had to experience. This is like my worst fear coming true - entering my room thinking I'll be able to make myself comfy in my bed and then being confronted with bugs everywhere. So glad you were able to book a hotel, totally understand you I could've not have a good night of sleep in this room! Think you honestly handled the situation waaay better than I would have 😅

Ich weiß, dieses Video ist schon alt, aber ich muss trotzdem meine Erfahrungen los werden. Ich habe ein Erasmussemester in Schweden gemacht und hatte ein Bettwanzenproblem. Mein Zimmer war generell schon extrem ekelhaft als ich eingezogen bin (geschnittene Zehennägel auf dem Boden, benutzte Wattestäbchen, Staubfussel, alte Klamotten,..), aber diese Bettwanzen waren ein anderes Level. Ich bekam natürlich kein anderes Zimmer und durfte auch nicht kündigen. Hotel auf Dauer war zu teuer. Stattdessen musste ich all meine Möbel in die Mitte des Zimmers stellen und die Bodenleisten wurden alle paar Wochen mit Chemikalien eingesprüht, auf die ich mit der Zeit allergisch reagierte. Jede Beschwerde von mir ging ins Leere, das war so kräftezehrend. Das war so eine Horrorerfahrung, seitdem bin ich extrem paranoid auf Reisen und auch in meinem eigenen Bett zu Hause. Generell war das Wohnheim einfach grauenvoll, die Küche war nicht benutzbar, da überall Maden, der Kühlschrank stank nach einer Leiche, ... Finde es super wie gefasst du reagierst und nicht in Tränen ausbrichst und trotz allem noch eine Klausur meisterst! Auch wie du dort leben konntest, obwohl du die Insekten von Anfang an hattest und dann noch schlafen konntest!
