Great job Jamie. I can’t wait to see this in person. I love how so many things in the 80s were ‘futuristic’ and ‘ultra-modern’, or ‘cutting edge’ because they put a 2000 in the name. lol we were so silly back then. Now we know that real futuristic things are named with 3000s.
Its amazing how we used to use that technology like the back of our hands back in the day. Its being lost to time like Phone Books. Thanks for refreshing my memory. And wow What an awesome prop! Great job!
Thanks David. Yeah, when I was making this, I realized people much younger than me may not know some of these tricks, but I grew up with TV’s like this.
My parents had the Panasonic TR-1200x. They handed it down to me and I used it for years. Late night TV, video games, playing tapes and even crossed it over to use as an amp when I was learning guitar. lol
Awesome work! I’d have never considered you could get the TV to display your HUD. And your design just looks so right on that type of monitor. And then the rest of the boombox conversion is just awesome. You never disappoint.
Not as cool as this one, but saw an old portable TV last month at an antique store but passed on it because I didnt know how I was going to get it to work. Now I know and I bet its not there anymore.
This was some serious flashback from my childhood lol. I remember all the different adaptors for the older tv’s.
Great job! I have a vintage TV, the wheels are turning. Thanks man!
I look forward to seeing what you come up with!

Thanks. The only reason I know how to do that is because I am an old fart and that is how all TV’s were when I was a kid. Lol!
