Ho pianto alla fine, Kiro hai una famiglia bellissima che ti ama
Sì!! :) :) :)
Well Done !!!! I wish I had your ability to deal with bureaucracies and red tape with such (seeming) good grace ..... :D ..... Anywhoo ....
Glad the family is back together safe and sound .....
Haha...sometimes it does feel like a skill to deal with such bureaucracy! But definitely worth it now that the fam is back together :) :) :)
What a happy beautiful video.
Aw, thank you ❤️
Oh my gosh, he's so cute. It's amazing how it all worked out...I can't imagine how stressful it was.
We’re literally doing the exact opposite right now! Canada to Italy running into the same problems with our girl, who is too heavy and whose kennel is too big for most airlines, including Air Canada and Lufthansa.
KLM seems like the best option as they don’t have a size limit, but rather a weight limit (75 kgs).
Trying to avoid using the shipping agent as we got a quote for $6,000 one-way, ouch!!
Ah, indeed our lives are the exact reverse of each other! You're going to love Italy -- and it's sooo dog-friendly, too! Just gotta get her over there :) Glad to know that KLM doesn't have a size limit ... here's hoping COVID doesn't mess with their rules too much!
Ciao Katie, ciao Kiro!
Good news indeed! Good to know such services exist!
And thank goodness for them, too! :)
We moved our small dog and ourselves to Italy last month. Now we need to import two cats like Kiro did (thru Frankfurt in a crate). So it’s nice to see his experience went well.
Aww glad you and your dog are there safe and sound!! And I wish a buon viaggio to the cats!
Susan!!! Hi!!!
What an adventure! He was clearly meant to be your dog - he enjoys travel as much as you! Also, great info here but I hope I don’t need it anytime soon.
I really do feel like he was meant to be our dog, for many reasons!! I hope you don't need the info, too -- it' s a lot of a logistical headache! (But obviously worth it if you'd gotta do it!)
This is so great to be reunited with Kiro. Thanks for sharing the video Katie! I’m from Toronto and you will love the vibe and be sure to check out Woodbridge (located just north of Toronto) it has the largest Italian population bordering Toronto and lots of great restaurants, bakeries, grocery store. You’ll need to check out The festival Italiano show on Sundays at noon which celebrates our Italian culture. It’s iconic to watch while eating Sunday Italian lunch 😋also known as Sunday sugo by my kids!
Aw I'm so glad to hear that you love Toronto so much! Thanks for these great tips!! Can't wait to explore ALL of this stuff! Grazie!!
While watching your video I fell in love with Kira 🙂
That is so great to see that your little one made it safe and sound. You keep hearing so many scary stories, but doing a pet relocation is probably the best way to go. If I can ask, how much did it cost to send him across?
This video made me smile 🙂. Kiro seems like such a good boy!
OMG 😱 la dolce vita is over 🙀 bellissimo Kiro 😍😍
It's never over!! I'll be baaaack!
Brava!!!!!!!!!
Wow, I remember many mooons ago when my parents decided to leave Toronto and move to California in the 80s we had a full gownn Doberman. He (Doby) flew on Air Canada to Los Angeles and then we had a family member pick him up and drive to Fresno. They had to sedate him becasue he would bark and growl at everyone in the airport.
Oh wow, interesting! I learned through this process that they actually don't allow sedating dogs anymore! If someone who works for the airline senses that a dog has been sedated, they won't let them on the plane!
Our favourite part of the week: watching your video 🧡
Awww YOU TWO are the sweetest and most awesome. I regret that we didn't get more hangouts before I left Trani!!
@@TheQKatie you're so sweet! If ever you'll be back one day (or we go to Canada/the States) we'll meet again! :**
@@theteachingcouple.online Yesss, indeed!!!
I’ve flown that airline… great trip to Switzerland! Lucky boy!! Hey Susan!!’
Ooo, FUN! I love Switzerland! Studied abroad in Geneva. Whereabouts were you?!
Geneva
ma che meraviglia! 😍
Glad that he made it safely to North America. He seems to have such a great personality! Hopefully he will love Toronto when he gets here - there are so many great dog parks! 😀
We're excited to explore the dog parks, and also the city in general!
@@TheQKatie I dropped you an email with my email address - feel free to reach out if you want any info or tips about Toronto - there are some great Italian grocery stores!
Auguri a voi e bentornato a Kiro!
We are busy preparing to go to Northern Italy. We have 6 cats and all are coming. We are going via KLM.
Ah yes, I've heard good things about KLM. Buon viaggio!!
United did very good for me from US to Panama, and it was 10 years ago. So I see they still live up to their reputation.
Glad to hear of your good experience! Yes, it'll be great when they get their PetSafe system back up and working after Covid -- pet owner depend on it!
@@TheQKatie I also ask the flight attendants to personally let the captain know that somebody's baby is in the belly of their plane. One an attendant went as far as getting in the cargo area and take a picture!!!!
Hi did Kiro travel in the cabin or in one of the lower holds of the plane?
Hello
Wondering approx how much it costed you to bring Kiro?
Why you guys moved back to NA?
I am in the process of acquiring JS.
Thought you guys loved Italy 😮
Ciao Katie, Kiro ha avuto bisogno di fare quarantena quando è arrivato negli USA?
In realtà, no!! Sono stata sorpresa!
Was this plane travel for Kiro on a pet plane only? What I’m most concerned about is what my friend who used to work with plane luggage told me. He said that they put pets in their kernels at the luggage department and there is no sound insulation there. They end up being traumatized from the loud engine sounds and turbulence among the objects stored with the pet kernels. So these scared animals vomit, urinate and defecate from the stress. He described to me how freightened they look when they’re unloding them. I would never want to put my pet through this. Especially as she is sensitive to this type of thing. I guess giving the pet some pills to clam down is a good option. But how about the overall environment they’re in? The noise, the turbulence (no safety belts for pets obviously), the air conditioning…
