- This is the first of many instructional video's I will be making. This video is focusing on LIP TRILLS on the trombone. This method can also be applied to all brass instruments including the trumpet, french horn, euphonium, baritone and tuba.
The worksheet described in the video can be found at www.kevinjackson.ca under "Audio and Video-Resources".

great video.
Thanks for watching! I hope it helped :)
Muito bom Kevin! Aproveitei muito.
Thanks man! The worksheet's really useful!
My pleasure! I’m glad it helped :)
Fine job. Suggest you do something on tips for the older hobbyist player to increase musicianship with a typical once or twice a week practicing life. Great shakes on techniques and range are unlikely but a new emphasis when applying the ability can help. I'm going to work on trills, tomorrow. I think.
Mandel Harvey that is a great idea!! I will definitely think about adding a series on that :)
do you have la pdf to your lip trill exercise page?
You can find a PDF version of the exercises here on my website! I hope it helps! :) www.kevinjackson.ca/resources.html
+Kevin Jackson Thank you so much!
Noticed you had a Michael Rath trombone, is the mouthpiece also a Rath? Great video btw! I will definitely be using these tips in my daily routine!
Hi Alexis! You're right, I am playing on an R3 Custom! The mouthpiece I am currently on is a Laskey 57D which is basically a copy of one of the good Bach 5G's. Glad to hear the video helped! :)
Hi Kevin I could not find the worksheet on trills. would you send me the link. Great lesson
thanks
Michael Weeks
Can't see the link for worksheet
I start with how much speed (BPM)?
Junior Vasconcelos, start with a BPM that you can do the exercise with good tone, control and accuracy. After you find where your current speed limit is make that your daily starting point and push it further with each practice!
Kevin Jackson understood!
What kind of trombone do you have?
The one I'm playing for the video is a Rath R3 Custom "www.rathtrombones.com/" and the straight one in the back is a 1962 Conn Connstellation. Hope the video helped!
@@kevin_the_trombonist I've met Michael Rath!
