Yeah it’s a pretty clean look, my ESC had the sensor wire on one end and the receiver wire on the opposite end which was a little frustrating but it all hooked up ok. Plenty of space for bigger esc too! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Just have to enjoy your build now 😉. Yes it has more steering than the sct410.3. The sensor wire on the side of the esc is, in my opinion, not a good idea. Hobbywing should have keep the way out of the wire on the top like on the old max8sct. I cut the esc box to let the wire get out from the top (the wire was touching the center driveshaft in my config, max8g2). What is cool is how quiet is this config with the cover on transmission. Amazing truck for sure.
Only thing i seen u forgot to do is a critical thing u do ANY TIME u put a motor system on a radio.. calibrating/mapping the ESC to the radio's throttle (ensures the ESC is recognizing neutral, full throttle, and full brake/reverse) otherwise the car's throttle and brakes can feel jittery or worse it doesnt respond the way u want it to (rhis includes also having the model want to creep or even move without any throttle inputs.. same thing with neutral deadzone adjustment [cheaper grade and older/worn radios have "slop" around neutral/idle which can be compensated with a slightly larger more forgiving deadzone while better radios can have a smaller/tighter deadzone. Larger deadzones are also handy for new drivers so they dont "overdrive" their model as aggresively while more seasoned drivers have a smaller deadzone for more precise control]) Other than that awesome model and awesome work! I may grab a tekno sct410 2.0 in the future (i was wondering about the steering cuz the 410.3 looked to have less steering tbh)
Thanks so much for the tip and comment! First time running a Hobbywing setup. Love the kit though and for sure has more steering than the .3. I feel like it weighs significantly more though but never put it on a scale. Planning on racing it next weekend, we will get some better thoughts about it then. Loved my .3 so we will see.
Awesome glad to be a help I relied a lot on UA-cam when I was first getting started, thanks for watching and commenting. Reach out if you have any questions!
These are DE wheels. Any SCTE wheels or Losi offset will work with Tekno SCTs www.amainhobbies.com/de-racing-12mm-hex-borrego-short-course-wheels-yellow-4-22sct-tenscte-der-bs4-ly/p705669?gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD_WU4Df_ZoE3TM2geCu7TdqRqKO8&gclid=Cj0KCQjwzva1BhD3ARIsADQuPnWxcGmMjKMOlfaRa-S2TM1oOvbzEkdOF2_AJpgc4x87YtiHD9R7RFEaAkybEALw_wcB
Awesome video. I’m waiting for my 2.0 to arrive this weekend. One question what servo are I using? I went thru ur videos but can’t find one about ur servo.
Are my eyes playing tricks on but I see you put the Motor screws in the wrong holes but yet your screen shot shows the right holes for a #17 Pinion gear. I am assuming you caught this and fixed in and added the screen shot?
I have my SCT410 2.0 built just need electronics myself, i like the routing Tekno gave us up the middle of the vehicle

Yeah sensor wire on the side kind of sucked, fooled around with it awhile to try and get the best configuration. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Sorry if this has been mentioned but which tires are you using here? They look like might be good for racing as well as some light bashing. Cheers
these are j concepts choppers, j concepts goosebumps have been my go too lately at our local track!
Where did you get the yellow wheels?

Go with a ProTek RC 170TBL

Yes that is correct I caught and updated with screen shot, good catch! Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@CrashCourseRC86 just finished building a Tekno SCT410 2.0 also....just ordered a Tekin RX8 Gen3 ESC and the Haywire BT to complete the build
