Beautifull to hear! ❤️ We have six kids. Only the two youngest are catholics. We converted to the catholic faith almost 6 yrs ago. And our 4 oldest kids didn’t want to become catholics. It’s hard. But I pray for them and I try to live and teach the faith in my family! 🙏

I love this. I only have 1 brother but my husband is the second of 15 kids. There are still 2 at home. We both want a large family. We have six kids so far. We love it. It's the same for my husbands family, some are Practicing catholics some are not. I have several friends that went to ave Maria too. Thanks so much for sharing. God bless

NIce one! Im the eldest of 11 and can say being in a big family is awesome. You fight like crazy and go through so much together but it makes you super close. Even now as adults we are all part of each other and love to spend time together. Gives you the ability to deal with lots of different personalities and makes for some pretty lively dinnertimes. God bless you

My father just underwent a very expensive operation, his 10 siblings all contributed to it which helped us a lot. My mother's 6 other siblings also contributed as well without asking for anything in return.
Having a big family is great, especially if they grew up close with ecah other

You are so blessed to have a big family and 10 siblings. I just have an older married brother very much into the Catholic faith. His married and we dont see much of each other. But my mum has a heart condition....so I guess I am lucky to have a brother. I hope one day I have a family of my own......when you need support many times u are alone..but as you mentioned God will....i am happy with what God has planned...take care🤗💐

I had no idea you came from such a large family! How awesome. I only have 1 sibling, so it's very hard for me to imagine that. However, my husband's side of the family is quite large. Most of his cousins come from families with about 7-10 kids. I always loved how close they are. They are very tight-knit families.

I am the !0th of 13 children. I so relate to this blog. I love all of my siblings and I am so grateful for my parents faith. we said the family rosary every nite. I remember my childhood as being so blessed. Today I remain a fervent believer.
I am working on my grand children and children to remain close to the church. Praise God.

Very nice statue. When you walk up the walkway to my home I have a large Virgin Mary statue at the door.
We call the 7 Sorrows of Mary the rosary on training wheels lol.
With 7 Sorrows there are also 7 Joys of Mary.
The Virgin Mary is also known as a Queen Warrior.
She will help to destroy the dragons.

I needed that today. I'm at a different stage than you. Our oldest is 19 (almost 20) and is rebelling the Church. My husband and I keep treating her as if she's completely on board hoping that she won't venture too far away.

Pray to Our Blessed Mother to guide your daughter. I married a Protestant (we've been together for 40 years!) I did end up going to his church. Our Blessed Mother has been gently guiding me back to the the Catholic Church since 2015! My husband doesn't accompany me to church, but he doesn't stand in my way either. And I have filled our bedroom with Catholic things - the crucifix, statues of Mary, Catholic books etc. We are also having great conversations about the Bible where I gently explain the teachings of the church fathers, etc.

Don’t give up your hope please. I left Churches in general. I grew up in a Buddhism family and my mother pray to our Blessed Mother before we went on this dangerous journey from Vietnam to America. Our Blessed Mother took care of us. When we got to Malaysia she converted my brother and I along with herself. But my life was rocky when it comes to religion. I didn’t like what I see and the Catholic Churches so I became a Christian and didn’t like them either so I completely left religious life completely. I was busy with marriage and kids until God brought me back 20 plus years after. Boy did I know God is real now! My kids was not raise as a Catholic. Although I felt like I never left God because he has given me a daughter whom is like my angel. She’s a very softhearted person. She would ask me questions like mommy grandma would she get older one day and get sick and die? So I told her let pray for grandma for good health. And we did. She often ask me mommy why don’t we go to church or can we pray mommy? I didn’t have the graces back than so I allowed my temptations to take over. But now that I’ve the graces I had prayed that the Holy Spirit would take a hold on my daughter and help her to live a holy. And she too have this same conversation. Although because I’m older and has experience much of life and long to know God’ more than my daughter. I remember her saying this to me. Mommy I wish God would let me live my life and come back to me when I’m older. At the time she was almost 17 yrs old. I think about this and I knew that it’s hard for them to conform their life in God’s teaching now a day. So I continue to pray for her. My boy was not like her but because he has witnesses my pass 6yrs being home to God has made a big impact on my family that he’s now going to mass. We’ll pray for each other and our kids.

This is very common, kids need to make their own decisions and not have them by fear, but by grace. I know a very traditional Catholic family, only 2 children but both kids now don't follow the faith as their parents do. In 10 years? 20? Who knows. We pray and let the path the walk on lead them to God.

      Jessie Dame
Devout Catholic means someone who actually practices the faith daily, follows the precepts of the Church, is in a State of a Grace.
Not someone who just ticks the ‘Catholic’ box at a consensus simply because they were baptised Catholic.
(There are a lot of Catholics like this unfortunately.)
