Oh boy, I'm already scared they're gonna make a joke about "spreading your legs" during the red sea scene
Did they?
Don't worry. Only a Beyblade joke was made.
@@lolitamolita5354 turns out they didn't lol
I was afraid they'd make a period joke when Moses turned the river to blood. 😮💨
fun fact! experts on judaism, christianity, and islam were all utilized in the making of this movie
I saw no aspect or theology of Islamic theory.
To be fair, there's not many distinction between each book so the reference are probably minimal
@@Adam-mv4fwthere's insane amounts of differences between the old testament and new testament not to mention the Quran.
@@Moody.Smiruai no like specifically moses's story. Both holy books basically told the same story
This movie is the hardest to rewatch.
The meeting between Moses and Rames 2 after they grow up is so hard to watch knowing what is coming.
I literally grew up with this movie. I'm agnostic and I'll love it no matter what. I was so excited when I saw this video because THE MUSIC IS A BOP!
You know that this held up extremely well bc of how good the fire and water effects are despite being from 1998
Wish wishes it had this good animation
17:48 as a beyblade fan i can say this is accurate
This is one of those christian films that were actually made for everyone to enjoy.
Moses parting the Red Sea with a beyblade is still my favorite thing in the world
I HAVE A FRIEND WHO USED TO BE OBSESSED WITH THIS MOVIE AND SHE WOULD TALK ABOUT HOW HOT MOSES WAS
Does Moses have Tumblr Sexyman potential?
@@IcyDiamondI think he should tbh
Real omg
I actually like that they didnt spend much time setting up the romance because it was just a minor part of the movie. You still get the idea of how they grew closer and they needed the screentime for other much more important scenes
80% of this video: OMG THIS ANIMATION
Valid commentary though
I mean if you watched OG Dreamwork when they did 2D animation, they flat out perfected it even more so then Disney at the time. Sadly they went CGI which, don't get me wrong, a lot of their CGI is just beautiful... but watch their version of Sinbad and you'll realize what we're missing these days.
Kor is right lol the specificity of his religious humor really is on point, I wouldn’t have expected him to know or mention Caleb and Sophia from the Jehovah’s Witness videos
Can't wait to see what else you have up your sleeve!
Fun fact:
They added the scene of Rhamses spinning Moses’s wig much later into production, because when test audiences saw Moses remove it after he fled into the desert, they thought he’d just scalped himself, so they decided to add a much earlier scene to show that it’s just a wig.
You know a movie is good if these guys make less jokes and more praise to it lol 😂
5:39 by the way it has been tested that you can remember certain songs or ryhmes as a kid also the mom and the egyptain mom would meet often since the baby cant survive without the mothers milk, so when she would feed him she would sing him that luliby
ps. the egyptain mom actually went and converted to the faith after the pharo let them go
6:22 I don't think anyone else noticed this but I love how a sound track from The Coffin of Andy and Leyley could be heard faintly in the background. PERFECT execution (If ykyk)
Dude when I first saw the clip all that I was thinking was “GET OUT OF MY HEAD GET OUT OF MY HEAD GET OUT OF MY HEAD
9:15 NOT THE RECEDING HAIRLINE 😭
I miss such animation style and drive. Like I wish this approach to animation films was a thing again.
They don’t show it in the movie, but the reason Moses is so scared when Ramses is about to say that he’s going to finish what his father started, is because God had just told Moses that the Pharaoh would choose the final plague, and Moses knew he was about to choose to have all the first born killed.
Also, the directors explained that the reason they cut out any of the other times that Moses spoke to God, was because they wanted the burning bush scene to remain special.
Ngl, I’m not religious anymore. But this is objectively a good movie lol
You guys should definitely check out the Joseph movie as well made by Dreamworks, it's also really good.
Also, fun fact, many Egyptians also put lamb's blood over their door so the Angel of Death will Pass Over their door as some converted before-hand.
0:01 Or the only Christan cartoon who are not cringe and the only Christan cartoon who are pure cinema
What about Veggietales?
@@aqiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii yes that’s a good exemple of a right made Christian Cartoon too for what i see
the reason that the animation for Prince of Egypt is so good is because they had their best animators working on it because they thought it would be one of their best selling movies.
when the animators messed up on Prince of Egypt, they were sent to work on Shrek and called it "getting shreked"
DreamWorks and 2D animation are arguably better than their 3D stuff.
I mean, Shrek was funnier tho
@@martind5653 I think I remember someone calling the Prince of Egypt a masterpiece and Shrek a beautiful shitpost... and yea, both check out.
11:48 Oh my god, that's me! Hi guys lol
13:22 He was like “Say JK right now.”😐
17:00 the way me and my family made the same joke about how a comedic relief character like a snake or a camel in the movie 😭
LET MY PEOPLE RIZZ
12:13 In the Bible, He was about 40 years old when he left Egypt, and he came back to Egypt about another 40 years later. In the movie Moses doesn't seem to have aged much at all.
It’s crazy that before this movie, Dreamwork released Antz movie just to spite Bugs Life
