While i couldn't act as calm as the FL, her classic karma was flawless. She just left to go back home and let karma work its magic. While Sarah, the mistress, wasn't pregnant, it was the wife. The wife did have a bad allergic reaction and lost the baby. I would have thrown a skillet at his head i would have been so enraged. I would have aired that dirty laundry at his insufferable granny's bday. I'd let her know her precious grandson's affair with Sarah, and congrats on picking such a paragon of virtue. There's no fool like an old fool, i guess. At least the FL got her divorce and went on with her life and reconnected with her loving mom and bro. She's doing much better than James and Sarah.
So many times cheaters like James deny there's anything going on and chastise and berate their wives/girlfriends for being suspicious and acting accordingly. The behavior of the other woman always gives it away either intentionally or unintentionally. Running off and abandoning your loved one(s) sends a strong message that they no longer matter or that their feelings and needs are secondary to the other person. All of the above indicators made it crystal clear that James was cheating.
