You’ve done a great demonstration of an installation! Great components and great techniques! Anyone could follow this through as a step by step and convert or upgrade a locomotive very easily by example! Thanks Larry for sharing your time and expertise!
I would first like to say a great instructional video. I have a few questions: do you use ESD tweezers? What type and where can I find a pair? The same question for the liquid flux that you use and what do you use to clean up the left over residue with a Q-tip? The GOOP product is just silicone in a tube? Did you leave the sound and equalizer settings at neutral and let the owner make the final adjustments? Last question, I have trouble keeping the TSU-21 pin decoder boards staying at the right angle on the DB to make contact. That amplifier causes a problem keeping the seated on the DB pins. Any suggestions? Thanks I have really learned so much from all of your install videos. Please keep them coming. William
Thanks for watching. The tweezers are made by Wiha 44501. They are esd safe. I use Kesters 186 flux, clean up with isopropyl alcohol. Goo E6000 adhesive. I let the customer make the final adjustments unless they request I do it. I've never had an issue with the decoder staying in place. You could always put some kapton tape over the decoder.
@@bradleyumberger8604 I put the design on Shapeways and on Thingiverse in case you can print your own. I haven't made the modified version for the speaker like he used though since I had nobody express interest.
Amazing that this obviously more expensive and newer Diesel has no cab interior and an older model diesel you did a while ago has an interior.Anyway great job,stay well my friends,Doc BC

Very nice.
Afternoon. I designed that DCC bracket. If you'd like me to modify my design to use that speaker, let me know. I'd be happy to make the changes.
@jeephistorian: where can I find/ buy that cool decoder/speaker bracket ??

To keep those wires off the fly wheel a small rubber band would work perfect for that
Again should be a turbo charge 645 and not a non turbo charged 645.
