I, and probably most of your viewers, watch your posts on TV. I can't leave comments on UA-cam on my roku TV. I'm guessing I'm in the majority, don't know though. You might be getting an overall picture from only a select group. I agree with your viewpoint, although a bit lengthy; and Indiana does not require inspections any more. John Ferguson
My dad was a self employed plumber. He dealt with the “It must be nice” crowd on occasion. He would tell me that a lot of folks would want what he had but few if any would want to go through what he did to get to where he was. Plumbing can be extremely disgusting 🤢
@@judithfairchild8620 If you can smell a sewer plant, something is not right. I can stand by ours (im the chairman, so not there more than once a week) and not smell it. Now the only time I can smell them is when we are pumping the holding tank into trucks.
I just retired after 40 years building water and wastewater plants. It must be nice is what I’ve been told. What I have is enough to live comfortably and 7 surgeries, bad knees, bad back and couldn’t be happier that my parents gave me great work ethics and respect for hard work.
Prosperity is a virtue. This used to be widely agreed upon in this country. Now, success is demonized. Personally I think it comes from the obsession to make less of others to excuse one's own disappointment with oneself. Congratulations to you both.
I think the disparity of CEOs pay and the Bezos of the world working off the backs of people not making a living wage are what is what’s being “demonized”. A hard working man, using his own blood and sweat to get where Mike is the ideal American dream.
@@brianrizzi6321 And why do you except Bezos as worthy of demonization now? Do you know anything about Amazon other than it's huge now and makes a lot of money now? Did you ever hear about Bezos himself packing up orders in his garage and driving them to the post office in a beat up car? Maybe he should be more generous now, but we see you envious of his success.
@@andhisband Not envious of his success, but angry at his greed. Having been there once he should know that every worker he has should get a fair wage and share in the prosperity of the company. Bezos is the new plantation owner with his wage slaves. Anger at his lack of empathy is the proper response that this nation was built upon. We use to believe in all stake holders before the "corporation" was formed to put some above others. Wise men like Henry Ford knew that paying a good wage HELPED THE WHOLE NATION AND THE NATIONAL ECONOMY and was best for his business in the long run. Look it up.
I’ve said since I first started watching your channel years ago how much I love you guys and your positive attitudes!!! I’m a recovery addict and this month on the 26th celebrating 25 years clean! So from my bottom to where I am now, I am blessed! Keep doing what your doing cause it’s great!!! My favorite saying is, “ those that judge don’t matter, those that matter don’t judge!” Love from Michigan City, Indiana! 🙏🏻💗👏👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
To the Morgan’s, I enjoyed watching your video/s. I’m in the process of revitalizing my old homestead in Western, PA. Your videos have been educational and helpful. Unfortunately, there will be some folks who are unhappy and take it out on others. We are all responsible for our own happiness. Fathers….yes.. we could use more…we all have a tuff story… we lost my father when I was young boy to a tragic accident. My brothers and I were blessed to have a mother who thought us to hold the line. I’m a service member of 30 years with several tours and feel blessed everyday to get up and get after it. I have no doubt it takes a plethora amount of work to make 30 minutes of footage. I love to see my fellow Appalachia Americans succeed. We all have endured the struggles of the surviving rust belt. God bless and continue to live this great life. 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸. Tommy Guthrie
My experience with "it must be nice" always reminds me of the amount of work, perseverance, risk-taking, saving, scrimping, etc.that I had to go through to get where I am. Sure, there is some good fortune and luck involved on occasion, but even most of that was driven by putting myself in situations where they could happen. I have no time for anyone I meet that hits me with that line. Keep up the good work!
This video is exactly what I needed to hear! I have heard for years “it must be nice”. I have been a small painting contractor in northern Michigan the last 15 years and in the trades for 17 years, I hear it so often and it’s almost a insult as if I did not work for everything. Nobody knows the hard work that goes on off the clock, the aches and pains it takes to be a continue even when you need a break. Being 35 years old and 17 years in, I’m just getting started and this video is much appreciated! Let’s tighten our boot laces and get back to work.
Great job and good luck. Just do not forget those left behind who through no fault of their own were not as lucky. A ladder slip, a car accident, a brain tumor are all parts of life that we hope never happen but does happen to someone every day. Imagine how that would set you back and count your blessings for not being that one this day. Have EMPATHY for those below you and do not kick down upon them. Kicking down is not the road to heaven as that is not the example Christ set for us. No one gets to heaven except through him.
It has been my experience that the "Must be nice" crowd never learned to be thankful for what they do have. They live in a prison of envy and bitterness that they built for themself. Sadly they never learned that there is true freedom and power in being truly happy for someone else. I love this channel, keep doing what you love to do.
Its all in what you have, and what you think you have. Rather than being envious of someone else, maybe take a look at your life, and everything you do or don't have, and what you want/need and restructure your life so you can get those things. Been there done that. Lost everything and had to start over many times, each time coming back stronger than the last, and now I just do with what I have and appreciate what I have, and most important, my family, everything else is just materialistic items.
You nailed it! Never listen to the naysayers, they are lost in a sick place of self pity and self loathing and they bring nothing to the table but bile and vitriol. Stay true and be you!!
I hope this is a positive comment. I subscribed some time back. I do not hit the thumbs up or comment very often since I have gotten lazy and watch you tube and your channel using the TV rather then the browser and computer. Sometimes I have not always had the time to watch and stay up, so I really liked the numbered shows but it now tells you the order in days or weeks, something about watching in order. I can only guess it is ingrained from TV watching starting in the 1960's. I appreciate all the things you have shown. Personally I have learned and gotten work to get stuff done ideas from it all. The elevated little mini cabin makes me think tree fort, it is a great fun idea. I enjoyed listening to building thoughts and seeing it being built. I liked the small wood storage shed building being constructed too. Then the big building that's not big enough now I am looking forward to future videos on its interior finishing. All the wood cutting, log yarding, earthworks I learn from. It is amazing to see how different just the soil is in PA compared to Hood Canal, WA, shale is rare. Glacial till, moraine and clay is what's under the top layer of dirt in my property location. Thank you for sharing. Keep up the hard work of making videos! Hang in there!
Melissa and Mike, all I can offer is a sincere "thank you" for continuing to inspire me. It's 2:11am in Cumberland County, North Carolina. And come sun-up, once again that Little Voice will be telling me, "Danny, God has given you another opportunity to do great things. Get up off your butt and Choose To Be Better Than You Were Yesterday...In All Things." Much love and gratitude for both of you being who you are and what you both share with me.
I can see how hard you guys work and can tell how down to earth you are. Everyone's situation is different, but hard with work you can get ahead. Have a great day!!
Well said guy’s! Me personally when I see people succeed it motivates me to do better in my own life. I love Dots pretzels! I did not know that it was a fairly new company. That is definitely the American dream. Awesome stories about these two people. Keep up the good work guys!
Unless someone cheated for or stole their success, there is no credible criticism. All of these entitled and hating wing dings are just exposing their behavioural dysfunction. If people change how they live live to try and appease these types, you’ll never live another happy day in your life.
You have the right attitude. For years I heard my wife and I are “lucky “ but no one sees the sacrifice for all the years to achieve your place in the world. We continue to evolve our plan while the envious people are stuck in a rut of their own creation. I love how real you and your family are.
“The struggle is real the results will vary”. So true Mike. You folks are great. Nice to have positive wholesome uplifting videos to help us all. Thank you!!!
Your commentary is right on! Thanks for addressing "It must be nice". You've got what you have by hard work, planning ahead and adjusting when needed. Not sitting on the couch feeling sorry for yourself. Keep up the good work!
Wow, this discussion really hits home. I could talk for hours about “The struggle is real”. I have mentored young boys and girls for over 13 yrs and over half of them are from single parent households. I’m not rich. I’m not poor. But my heart breaks for kids and adults that are so clueless on how lucky they are to be fortunate they are compared to others around them.
Remember Mike and Melissa it’s never a struggle when you love what your doing but the struggle is the unforeseen and unsuspecting issues keep doing what you love
Thank God ! for Both of you people being in the right place and time to share your words with others. ( I enjoy your videos) I have a long tuff life story that I don't need to type to you , but I spent 25 years taking care of our folks while my bothers lead there own lives doing there own things! Now the 3 of us take turns visiting our blind Sister that has spent 73 years in a wheelchair. Plus she spent 2 years in jr. College and 4 years in college and has 2 BA degrees consecutively now is still reading 6 to 10 books a week (on tape for the blind) and writes a book report several times a month! I was able to buy my 1st house 17 years ago at 48 yo and have had to retire because of injuries ! But get out of bed when I can, put on my boots and do what I can or need to do except get the trees down on the hill No. side of my house over hanging the house and outbuildings ! I would enjoy seeing you explain notching and falling trees ! (Hopefully up hill ) Let the dislikes take care of themselves!!! Here is your new tag line. PUT YOUR BOOTS ON AND DO SOMETHING ON YOUR OWN ! Thanks Petey in MinnesnowTa
I started watching this channel last year as I was learning about firewood infrastructure. Man...was I in for a surprise! The stuff you talk about has always rung true for me. I always have people telling me "it must be nice" constantly. Especially from young men. They have no idea the road I've taken. They have no idea the hours I work. They have no idea how many birthdays, anniversaries and soccer games I've missed. They have no idea how much I've put up with until I finally forged my path. Even people I work with have no clue. I now have my dreams realized. I love what I do. To me, my career is like a member of our family and I strive to take care of it. It's been a long road from Dairy farming to being the Finance Manager at a Ford dealership that I truly love. It's taken me 15+ years to get here. Nothing worth your soul is done overnight. Patients, know your value and never give up. Also, IBC cages are the way to go! Thanks for making quality content!
Everything I have in my life, I busted my behind to have, it is paid for which also includes my home. I have come a long way since I became a single Dad and was raising 3 kids on my own. There were many nights I went to bed without eating so my kids could, I'd wear jeans with holes so my kids had good clothes. Now it is just myself and my Son, but we keep pushing forward !! Bottom line, keep your chin up and always looks towards the future !!
Much respect. I did the same but two kids who are in their forties now and doing great. Best wishes for you and yours. Just do not forget the Struggles once you have them raised and see some daylight ahead. Spare a dime for some single parent or at least give them moral support. Never forget how hard it was and how hard it still is for others.
Good morning Morgan’s!! Great to see Supervisor Ty on the job!! Have a day! God blesses each of us in many ways. Your attitude determines how those blessings manifest themselves. You and Melissa are a great team and work hard together to make your life what it is. Enjoy your success and keep true to yourselves!
That was a good one. I’m old school and started working as a kid and never stopped. Work ethics are a great thing. We have a wonderful life and our children and grandchildren have followed. What a blessing. Keep sharing your thoughts and insights. Jim and Judy in Texas.
I truly enjoy your channel! I have been watching your channel for 7 or 8 months now and this is the first time I've commented and you will probably not even see this one because it is an older video! THE STRUGGLE IS VERY REAL!!! You struggle is different than mine! The only difference is WHAT YOU DO WITH YOURS! If you have a problem with the way that I prosper with mine, try spending that time you are concerned about others taking care of yourself and that struggle you were blessed with. I have Parkinson's and not once have I felt "poor pitiful me" I am very thankful for your family and what you do! Good bless you! Everything you have is not worth it to me for the amount work you have to put into it on the backside to get it out! God Bless You Roger
Mike and Melissa, I can appreciate some of the challenges you face as a UA-cam content provider offering your viewers a slice of life perspective on your outdoor pursuits and family life. One of my friends has experienced the growing pains, incredible time, and viewer demands that came with building his UA-cam channel to over 600k subs. It’s not easy to do while trying to raise a family and run a small business in a rural community. The green 👁 of envy from some viewers and also those in the community along with the noise created by those who are keyboard experts on everything can wear anybody down. Best advice… “To thy own selves be true and you do you”. Thanks for taking us along for the ride.
Mike and Melissa, I am always glad to watch your video`s as soon as I can after they have been posted. The part that I like the most about your video`s is the fact that "you are who you are" ! Your family is real! Keep up the hard work, Thanks!
Love the channel Mike and Melissa. Always going to be folks jealous of those that do and get results. It all stems from love and faith and you guys have oodles. Looking forward to the next video. Thanks.
More power to the two of you. You have worked hard for what you have. But more importantly you have worked SMART. I recently saw a picture of a blank sheet of paper and the caption was "This is a complete list of what your entitled to and what the world owes you". If everyone worked as hard as you do, they would be successful also. On a different note, Florida had a vehicle inspection program about 35 to 40 years ago. It lasted about 15 years or so. The State kept records as to the number of accidents that were caused by faulty equipment and after 15 years there was no meaningful reduction in accidents and they scrapped the program. That is the problem with many government programs, that have been on the books for years, but no one ever checks to see if they are still producing results.
Mike, in my experience. the must be nice people are usually just jealous. Deep down they realize their short comings and lash out at others who have worked harder or used their resources better than they. We are both in almost the same situation. We have worked hard to get where we are in life and I will never apologize for the where I am in life. You talked how you have saved for the new building for years. That is how most people have to do it. You appreciate things a lot more when you work for them. If you get a sponsor I think that's great. Its a win for everyone. Nothing wrong with that. You have worked hard to get where you are. You should be proud. Thank you for speaking up and always doing the right thing. That doesn't happen much anymore. Just keep on being you and we'll be here watching.
I am honestly going through the worse time in my life. Things are unspeakably bad right now, but your videos are an encouragement to me, and I am grateful to be able to watch them and do so for free. Its been interesting to hear about some of the comments and I am sorry you have had to deal with them, but also sad that there are people so miserable they are just shouting out into the void hoping for someone to agree or commiserate with them. Thanks again for your videos I do appreciate them!
I hope things get better for you. Life gets really tough sometimes, but it always get better. You have to find the right direction to go or do. I hope and pray you'll find a way out of whatever this is. People do care, but sometimes we feel so all alone 😔
@thefabled1 thank you for sharing this - thank you for being here and watching … I am sorry times are tough right now, but please know we appreciate you being here. I know you can continue on the path and keep moving forward. You mention something very important- you can fall on tough times but you don’t have to be miserable while there… thanks for being here
So many times comments have been made about our “luck” and we have been blessed, but without 12 and 14 hour days working every day there would have been no “luck”. Thank God for America where we have the opportunity to be all we want and dream. The harder you work the more you accumulate if you make good choices. Greed and envy are evil taskmasters. Keep up the good work.
I love to congratulate people on their success. I watched what my dad had to go through to get to where he was at before he passed away. Worked his tail off in a steel mill. And did carpentry as well. We really only saw dad on weekends because of his hard work through the week. He would come home from work after us kids went to bed and left again for work before we woke up. Congratulations Mike and Melissa for what you have.
I just viewed this video. Love your operation. Have installed many aluminum poles in sleeve filled with sand like u r. We found over time they would lean away from the direction of the prevailing wind as the sand would work itself around the pole. We ended up buying a stick of solid pvc deck board and cut them Into shims to place between the sleeve and pole which stop the pole from being able to move. If you have to a shop vac with a piece of small pvc pipe works well to suck out the sand as needed. After installing shims we fill any voids with the sand. The pvc is best as it won't rot. Hope that helps. We do it on all the installs we do now. Has eliminated the lean issue. Like the ibc storage idea can't source them cost effectively here in upstate ny. How far are you from Coudersport pa? We have relatives there. Keep up the good work.
Mike and Mellisa, I totally agree! God blesses each of us in His own measure and to a degree which we each are ready to be responsible. My family and I feel truly blessed to watch how God has grown your channel. It is so awesome to be able to turn on a channel and know God is leading the content through your hearts. God bless from Idaho!!!
Hard work pays off. Anyone who watches these videos can see the thousands of hours you have put in to grow it to what it is today. You deserve every positive aspect this channel brings to your life! Thanks for all your hard work and great content from snowy MN!
I remember years ago, my dad and I were at our local tavern. My dad was going on a Caribbean cruise in a few days. He got the “it must be nice” from one of the patrons. Without missing a beat he said “I’m probably not paying as much for the cruise as you pay for your cigarettes”. Different strokes for different folks.
Absolutely right, HH! Your dad was spot-on! Life is a series of choices and no one chooses right ALL the time but some people do choose badly MOST of the time and it's ON THEM. THEIR choices but they then try to blame it on others or expect others to feel bad about making better choices. I don't have time for those people either.
Thank you for your story god blesses hard work....I live on 45 acres been cutting and thinning over 30 years....improving my foest... went to college of forestry...been with Forest Service 42 years...never had a forestry job did 35 years in Fire Management now Minerals...been logging with old 70s F250 4x4 and ATV...one of these days will find a peice of equipment...maybe after retirement....again love your videos. Shoe in SW Oregon...have question how much is a cord of wood selling for in Pennsylvania here in SW Oregon..softwood (Douglas Fire) $200 and cord hardwood (Pacific Madrone and/or Oak) $250 to $300 plus a cord. Pss...that small stuff under your splitter I put in 5 gallon buckets burn in my shop and house I use don't waste it....sell the nice wood.....call it my bucket wood....
Another great video. Oklahoma no longer requires safety inspections. Agree 100% with your commentary. In my experience to succeed we have to build our foundations in our youth. Take a job, work your way up, do the things other wont do. work hard, and keep your mouth shut, no bosses like to hear endless complaining. I realize that no matter what you do some people will never get recognized for their effort. The happiest time in my life was when we had the least. Our daughter was just born, I was laid off from my out of state construction job. In order to make it we cut fire wood. My Dad would spit with a mull and stack brush, my wife would stack the wood on the trailer. Miss those times, our Daughter was just a month or so old and would be with us. I look forward to retirement and spending more time in the woods and on the farm. This time with Grandchildren in tow. I know my Dad is watching down from Heaven enjoying the show.
"It must be nice" with "should" a close second. Thanks for having the courage to share your thoughts with us, guests invited to your channel. People sometimes forget this is your channel, not theirs. No snow yet here in the Alberta Foothills, but it is coming. Hodgy
No inspections for us here in Kentucky! And btw, I think it’s amazing that you are able to live out your dreams. I know it didn’t come easy, and I love watching the channel. Keep doing what you’re doing. Love you guys
Wow, Levi and Ty cameos in the intro. Haven't seen them for a while. And it's snowing in Pittsburgh. I really enjoy your videos. They are an escape from the struggles of every day. Thank you so much.
Let me say I love watching your videos. So much has changed in my life since my dad passed away. But before that I enjoyed cutting and splitting firewood. Some people don't realize there's behind the scenes that you don't see. I did 24 years of EMS and Heavy Rescue, I was a Chief engineer on the Rescue. So using different heavy equipment is fun to me. Keep the awesome videos.
I feel you on the ' Must Be Nice ' comment . I worked for 50+ years , the last 25 for a major auto company ( to remain nameless ) 40+ hours a week and investing in my retirement and saving OT $ & Bonuses for future use . Now that I'm retired ( a year and a half now ) I've been able to build a new 26X50 shop , redesign & renovate the front of our home and pick up a few pieces of equipment . And I get " Must Be Nice " from former co-workers , and all I can say to them is ' Invest In Your Future - Don't Live In The Moment and Spend every extra money you get ! ' I can only hope in some small way , I can influence some of the younger generations to prepare for later in life . THANK YOU and Melissa for sharing your family and lives with us ! God Bless !
"It must be nice to have all that equipment". To which I reply, YES! IT IS!. I've been watching this channel ever since your video on how to stack wood evenly and LOVE your evolution to what you've become now. You're a hard working team and its paid off over time with good choices and decisions. It all didn't happen overnight. Some people just can't handle the success of others yet they continue to watch your channel? Makes no sense to me. Just keep doing what you're doing Mike and Melissa!
I’m so happy for the comments on “The struggle is real”! Most of us have worked for 20 or 30 years to get where we are. I love that y’all share your time with us. Thank you!!
I think I have watched every video the Morgan’s have put out. Seeing them start out with un desirable equipment ,and WORK there way up to a top notch fleet of equipment has been a joy. My wife and I do the same thing the Morgan’s do with firewood, sawmill, tractor, and other things. I love seeing hard working people being successful. I hade rather see that, then Hollywood thugs make tens of millions of dollars, and try to tell average working class people how to live. Looking forward to the next video.
great story, I never realized how much work went into a yt video until the boys started their channel. We had watched yt for years but never liked or commented on videos. I realized later how important it is to show support of a channel you enjoy. My boys started their channel as a school project and it has took off. It hasn't came without alot of hard work and many struggles. We was at the Paul Bunyan show in Ohio talking with Logger Wade and ya'll are in the pictures behind us but we never saw ya'll until I started editing the footage lol. Thanks for the stories today, very interesting. Blessings from Tennessee~
This is a fantastic message. I stumbled onto your channel a few months ago and love it. You two are some of the most honest, hard working, sincere people I follow on UA-cam. Straight up and honest. This world needs more people like you.
Jealousy is a nasty trait, we have the same here in the UK. I come from a family of 7 children and my wife and I have improved our lot by hard work and making the right decisions nothing to do with luck. We have a nice house, 11 acres of land, my wife has horses, we are both retired now and enjoying life. Keep up the good work I admire what you both do.
Really enjoy your channel. I aspire to muster the kind of energy y’all put into every one of your videos and I always learn something useful. Keep the faith Mike and Melissa!
Yes they do in North Carolina. It keeps old clunkers off the road. Sounds to me like you were brought up to work hard mind your own business and be good people. Help those who you can. To me you two are an inspiration to anyone who understands our limits are the ones we put on ourselves. The fact of staying focus on yourself is very important. I am sure there is a lot of struggles you have from the farm, family to working. I believe you are just presenting a look into to the joys you have there and sharing them with others to look for theirs. The behind the scenes things are what we don't have a right to see unless you share it. We see what makes you keep going. The joys of the things you do. I do love watching you work your equipment. I also love the things you and the family have for one another. Love your smarts of cutting. the excavator comes in handy. You guys just keep pushing ahead one day at a time. Love what you do and stand for.
Good morning from Upstate South Carolina. Can't wait to finish watching this video. Have a productive day. We no longer have car inspections in South Carolina. I believe they stopped back in the 90s. It must be some inspection in Pa if you have to leave it for a while.
Another follower from Upstate SC. We should always be thankful to our God for what we have while living in this temporary home and work on doing the things we are taught in the Bible so our permanent home we will lack of want nothing.
What you are describing is the movement of socialism. As soon as we say “we deserve” it puts the burden of their happiness on others rather than themselves. That is totally impossible. I’m glad you talked about this subject. Thank you!
I have to disagree to a point. IN the richest nation in history, NO CHILD SHOULD GO TO BED HUNGRY TONIGHT yet many will do just that. THEY DESERVE TO EAT AND BE WARM because they are AMERICANS. They are our fellow citizens and our future. A nation that begrudges the children will never be GREAT. And a nation that hates to support widows and orphans is IMMORAL. So tell me about "socialism" please.
@@markpashia7067 Socialist countries have many poor people and children who go to bed hungry, way more so than in the USA. Socialism caters to the least common denominator. EVERYONE is poor, except for the political elite and their friends. Just look at Venezuela. It was a rich country before Maduro took over and made it socialist. Noe the people are starving, have blackouts, no fuel. Socialism SUCK. If people are struggling here in the USA, we should help them, and they do get help. But with FREEDOM, comes the freedom to make bad decisions. And you need to deal with the results of your bad decisions. Americans DO NOT WANT socialism or a nanny state.
@@robk1310 Look at Venezuela under Hugo Chavez before you make your wrong assumptions. Hell, Chavez sent major help to our native American Reservations while he was alive!!! Filling in gaps created by our own government. Chavez was socialism, Maduro is corrupt socialism kind of like our corrupt capitalism. Both are subject to oligarchy control that corrupts any system. Look deeper.
There are so many comments I could add to what you said that I don't where to start. The struggle is real. I grew up on a farm and pretty much dirt poor. I worked hard to get where I'm at today. Some things were easy for me but then again some things did not come easy at all. For me it was always do my best and try and make myself better. Be happy today but look forward to tomorrow for something better. Your channel is not all cut, split, dig,...some times you give us something to think about. Great video and great thoughts to think about. Thanks for sharing.
Admittedly, I get a little envious watching your videos. You all are living my dream. But, I can also tell that you’ve had your struggles in getting there, and you’ve both been blessed and have worked hard for where you are. I’m 43. My life didn’t go as planned, but I’m hoping where you are now is where I’ll be in 10 years. I wish you were in my neck of the woods. You’d be a great mentor and support system, something which our family doesn’t really have. The comment about fathers was spot on.
Amen to your comments regarding where you are today. Everyone makes their own choices and everyone can travel a path of positives versus negatives. Ambition with goals driven by personal accountability can provide you a happy life whether full of things or not. Things or assets are nice but don’t necessarily make you happy. Personal focus on positives and Faith in God can provide more than you realize. Struggles and failures can actually build strength! Continue down your path that brings happiness and success. Great job Morgan’s!
We're being taught to hate success Mike. I've got a person in my family that feels the same way. If she would work as hard on herself as she does at hating everyone else she'd be happier.
God bless you folks! I watched Struggle Jennings..brought tears to my eyes! This old man really enjoyed it, his message is right on track! Beautifully written!🎚🙏🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾
Amen. Well said Morgan's. Why would we work so hard, so long if we didn't plan a means to an end? I too have had many struggles like everyone else. Your stories and hard work mimic that of mine and I'm sure countless others. Instead of judging, we should use what others have as inspiration and maybe even some direction for those who may not realize their goals. Mike and I are the same age and I have been working my entire life. 31 years on my current job but it is not what I am going to do the rest of my life. (I figured that out a long time ago) I have always had side gigs and side jobs to make ends meet or to get the "extra" things in life that i or my family have wanted over the years. Point is, work hard and set goals. If it is too much of a struggle have faith in yourself and seek the advice of others. Keep up the good work!
Hi Mike and Melissa and greetings from beautiful western Colorado! Regarding your question about state inspections, Colorado no longer has an inspection program. We used to at different times for differing reasons. Way back in the 50's and 60's we had a semi-annual inspection program where your car had to be inspected to insure that your brakes were in good order, your exhaust system was not leaking, all of your lights were in working order, and all of the glass was good. All of this was performed by the inspector at the gas station for a whopping $ 1.50! Then later maybe during the 80's and 90's the environmentalists passed a law that we had to have a smog inspection on each car. This turned out to be a huge endeavor for our state costing someone millions of dollars! That has since passed into the sunset, possibly due to the auto makers producing more fuel efficient cars. Anyway we no longer have to have our vehicles inspected. We get the point of your latest video and we can't agree more. To add to this, I heard a guy the other day say, "the harder I work the luckier I get"! We enjoy your hard work and you deserve everything that you have worked for, paid for and use effectively! God bless you always and continue to keep your wonderful videos coming our way! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your entire family!
To those in the “It must be nice” crowd. Yeah it is nice! It’s nice to have WORKED HARD to succeed and have the nice things. Maybe instead of being jealous and making excuses you should try it sometime. It does really work. I grew up in East Tennessee and growing up I was what we would call dirt floor poor. I joined the military and made a career out of it. After retiring from that I worked my bohunkuss off and have been successful. When I was growing up as a teen if someone had told me I’d have the things and property I have today I’d have laughed at you, but here I am today Mike and Melissa, you guys keep doing what you’re doing and ignore the “It must be nice” crowd! Your extended Morgan “ family” are behind you all the way!
Mike, I would like to add to the numerous comments supporting you and all your good work. Hard work and expertise is always recognized and appreciated by those who work hard and strive to be an expert. Some folks have not yet learned to appreciate that, but, give them time.
Just discovered your channel a couple weeks ago. I am hooked on watching it. My wife laughs at me watching y’all move dirt and cut wood. Your comments on the struggles are real is so true. We all have them. Y’all keep doing your thing , don’t let haters get to ya. Y’all are great!!!
If I were you I would answer those people who say "it must be nice" with "it is" it is obvious your lives are blessed. Don't let others who are jealous affect anything you are doing. I watch your videos everyday and you inspire a lot of people. I am getting close to retirement and all I want is a piece of property and a tractor because of you. Keep it up you incredibly blessed.
Upon reflection of what you said Mike, I LOVE THE FACT that anyone exceeds living the American Dream, most never know the struggles, hard times, reminds me of what an old man [About my age now 70, and i was 20] he said son, as you go about living your life, things, situations, and circumstances will hit you from every direction, and you have no control over that; BUT how you look at them and deal with them you have 100% Control over... Made sense to me, as a young hard headed man... ANYWAY my Morgan family, i never thought any animosity nor negative against my Morgan family, i have always been proud to see a fellow American moving forward with hard work and love of man... LIKE helping Mom, Sister, Neighbor Cliff - Mr. Rogers neighborhood to me.. Keep up[ the good works. Love all the videos, somehow had missed this one; not a bad one in the bunch... from SE Texas Bear 💯 x 6 💜
First time commenter. I've been watching your channel for awhile and I really enjoy the content. We are not all the same, nor are we all from the same economic back ground. We all struggle at some point in our lives, but its sad that some folks get offended by others success. The biggest struggle is to not give up when things don't go as you planned, but lashing out at others isn't the answer. But as you said....The Struggle Is Real ! Just don't give up. Congrats on all of your success M & M. KEEP ON SMILING !!! 😁😁😁
You put that very well and very nice, for some reason and of course not everyone but there is a group of people that think that they’re untitled and don’t want to work for it just have it handed to them and maybe for a very very small group it does come that way, but I am a firm believer in that if you have a goal no matter what it is meaning be or small you have to work towards it that’s the only way to achieve a said goal if your followers can’t see how hard you guys work for everything that you have than shame on them , if nothing else you guys and this channel just proves what you can achieve when you work hard for it to me you guys are a big time inspiration for all of us!!! God Bless you guys and your family and thank you for this channel!!!!
Sitting here on the couch with my wife, watching your videos. The snow is falling, the fire is crackling in the fireplace and I'm enjoying my first bag of Dots Pretzels, thanks to you. Really enjoy the videos.......keep up the great work!
Very well said, I am happy for ya'll , if folks are honest ,they are jealous ! Ya'll are blessed ,heck we are all blessed! I have been retired for 6 years . I am 68 years old , I have worked all of my life. I have had many struggles! I love your channel .I don't have a tractor or a chainsaw or a 100 acres of land. Where I live ,you really need firewood but there is something about your channel that relaxes the soul! Keep it up !
Agree whole heartedly, I bought my first 21 acres last year at 30, never thought I'd own a piece a property but the stars aligned. Now im building my dream cabin with my own hand-me-down mill and as much work as I can get done on weekends, making everything I can, of course with the help of good people along the way to finish mill it. Never stop improving!
Mike, social media is a double edged sword. Your plight is a role model for success, plain and simple. I have enjoyed your journey every step of the way and I thank you and your family for sharing the adventure.
Thank you for another Great video! As Matt said below we LOVE your positive attitude and the upbeat style of your videos. We also like the fact that we generally learn a couple things by watching your videos. Sorry but one thing I don't do is read many negative comments. I personally don't feel they are worth my time to read. Maybe it is the idea that you don't say anything if you can't say something positive. We are a bit older than you but that does not mean that we don't respect, admire and look up to you for all of your hard work. You have work for what you wanted, made good decisions and kept on going even if things didn't go the way that you had wanted or planned. Most of us learn from our mistakes, go on and do better the next time due to the experience that we have gained.
I just came across your channel because of this video. Thank you for saying what you did. It was a great reminder for me to hear as well. Needless to say I am now a subscriber. God bless!
M&M, I couldn't agree more, you see what you look for and it pulls you in that direction. If you look for things that make you mad, you will get madder. If you look for things that make you feel unsuccessful, you will feel worse at the end of the day. Quite some time ago, I realized this and changed my habits to try to look for the things that are going right, and appreciating all the great things I have around me. I must say that in today's world, most of the media spend an incredible amount of time reporting on everything that has gone wrong in the world every day. If you don't go looking for the good things, you will begin believing that everything is going to hell. I watch your videos for one of the positive things I need to keep my attitude as positive as possible. Keep on keeping on!!👍👍
Congratulations on your success. Anyone who thinks what you’ve built on UA-cam is easy, has no idea. Kind of like everything else in life that is worth doing
Y’all gave me an idea when you were talking about the time and effort that goes into making UA-cam videos. Y’all should make a video of the other one making a video! Show the behind the scenes and effort it takes moving cameras, editing, etc. I think that would be cool to see. Thanks for the channels and what y’all do. Keep it going!
I don't know if others have suggested this but couldn't you use your tractor and firewood bucket to push and lift to stack your bin. You can only push with your excavator. It might save you time and give you height in your pit.
Mike, I have had the "must be nice comment" from coworkers many times over the years. I never agreed with that mindset either. These people worked for the same multibillion dollar corporation as I did and they had the same opportunities as I did. I was never given anything more than the opportunity to work more hours, to save more for retirement, to come up with new ideas and solutions to problems etc. I retired at 55 and the must be nice comments where coming for many directions. Anyway, I'm sorry for the long comment but I couldn't agree with you more. Congratulations on all of your hard earned successes and and may god bless you and your family for all the good that you do. John
Great video. I like it when you share your philosophies with us, as difficult as it may be for you to do so. It reaffirms my love of this country to see people like you work hard and be successful. Congratulations on everything you've achieved. That's always been my outlook on it. While I may envy some of your toys, and plan to even get some, myself, I certainly don't resent your having them. I admire your ability to achieve this success, and if I want to achieve similar success, I know I need to work similarly hard (and smart). Thanks for sharing what you are so generous to share about how you do it. If you were more like the "must be nice" people, you wouldn't be so generous about it, I'd wager.
Had this discussion the other day with friends at lunch. Jealous relatives are apparently some of the worst. We don’t see the constant sharpening of chains, refueling, maintaining equipment, setbacks and hard work. Everything in life is a choice. The Lord rewards those whom ask. As for trials, that is where real growth takes place. You do you and keep the faith.
Haters gonna hate! You all are a great family with good work ethic. You all deserve everything you have and give back so much. Keep being great , Morgan’s.
Congratulations on staying positive. You’re my go to video each day. Don’t let the cynics get you down. They will always be there. Their distraction is real and it takes it toll. Thank you for helping positive people stay together. Your contribution is significant and I appreciate it a lot. Onward!
You deserve what you have earned. You have shown compassion by sharing how you’ve achieved success. Some don’t want to learn or walk the path. I wish you more success.
MS stopped inspections about 5 yrs ago. I remember what a hassle it was for inspections when we lived in NJ and TX. With what you said about the comments - haters will always hate and people that think they deserve a handout will always be wanting. Your family has worked for what you have and as for myself I enjoy your videos and what you do. I do wish I had the sawmill you have - maybe someday. Well enough said - stay safe and have a day>
My wife and I look forward to watching your videos week after week. You guys are an inspiration and a beacon in God's kingdom, keep up the great life, many Blessings from Michigan!
My wife and I been through lifes struggles, but its a challenge to work and make things better for our family. We are retired now and are living a good life as we see it. You don't have to be jealous of what others have, you just have to be happy with what God gives you. Happy Thanksgiving to you all.
I enjoy your videos very much and my only comment is for you to continue enjoy working together the way you do. I lost my wife of fifty two years in March of 2020 and things have not been the same so continue to enjoy each other.
The old saying "Life is what you make it" holds true even in todays world. Take what life throws at you, deal with it the best way you know how, and move forward with the positive and the lessons that it taught you. Great video guys, and great advise. I have watched like 60 or so of your vids so far. There is no doubt that all your hard work is paying off. IMO you deserve every bit of it. Putting out content can be a challenging task. I am pretty new to the whole content creating, and I learned really fast that a video as short as 20 minutes can take anywhere from 6-10 hours to edit. Keep up the good work. God Bless

Mike and Melissa don't worry bout the haters the covid has made many people go a little coucou.
Love your videos & am happy for your success. Keep 'em coming!
@@mikeduncan2258 What did Jesus say about the rich?
@@bipslone8880 Money is not the problem rather the love of money. He did however say the poor would always be among us.
My dad was a self employed plumber. He dealt with the “It must be nice” crowd on occasion. He would tell me that a lot of folks would want what he had but few if any would want to go through what he did to get to where he was. Plumbing can be extremely disgusting 🤢
That's putting it mildly
you should see the sewer plant side of it, it can be a really C@#$ job.
@@brett76544 I know the sewer plant and city dump were south west of where I grew up. When the wind was from that direction. Color me dark green
Well said!
I think the disparity of CEOs pay and the Bezos of the world working off the backs of people not making a living wage are what is what’s being “demonized”. A hard working man, using his own blood and sweat to get where Mike is the ideal American dream.
David, you are absolutely right, in the Bible it's called covetousness!!
Matt Andrews, Thanks for your comment! CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR 25 YEARS OF CLEAN LIFE! Enjoy the next 25 years Stay strong 💪😷🙏❤😊

Keep of the hard work and keep your eye on the prize
Great job and good luck. Just do not forget those left behind who through no fault of their own were not as lucky. A ladder slip, a car accident, a brain tumor are all parts of life that we hope never happen but does happen to someone every day. Imagine how that would set you back and count your blessings for not being that one this day. Have EMPATHY for those below you and do not kick down upon them. Kicking down is not the road to heaven as that is not the example Christ set for us. No one gets to heaven except through him.
Never feel the need to apologize for having success from your hard work and good decisions.
Must be nice to have such a strong work ethic ;)
Congrats on what you’ve achieved. The content and progress continue to be great to watch

@@beverleyspugsandhomestead. absolutely! Hard work is the key to any success.
ONWARDS and UPWARDS !! is our family motto !! Well said, Mike and Melissa !! That's why people from around the world want to come to America !!

AMEN !!
Very Well Said Tim !! A lot of wisdom there. 👍👍
Single dad with 2 kids here. I feel you bro.
I admire you Tim.
God Bless You

Mike and Melissa, I can appreciate some of the challenges you face as a UA-cam content provider offering your viewers a slice of life perspective on your outdoor pursuits and family life. One of
my friends has experienced the growing pains, incredible time, and viewer demands that came with building his UA-cam channel to over 600k subs.
Keep up the hard work,
Thanks!
Love the channel Mike and Melissa. Always going to be folks jealous of those that do and get results. It all stems from love and faith and you guys have oodles. Looking forward to the next video. Thanks.
Your family is blessed. You worked hard for what you have.
God bless and keep up the good work. Mike and Melissa, You're both an inspiration
Prayers your way.
Hang in there bud 🙏 I'll pray for you. You'll get through this. Ask the lord your self to ❤
Praying for you 🙏
I hope things get better for you. Life gets really tough sometimes, but it always get better. You have to find the right direction to go or do. I hope and pray you'll find a way out of whatever this is. People do care, but sometimes we feel so all alone 😔
@thefabled1 thank you for sharing this - thank you for being here and watching …
I am sorry times are tough right now, but please know we appreciate you being here.
Amen amen!!!!!
I like to watch people succeed, I am truly happy for you & your family.
Hodgy
Hey cool! A fellow Albertan...I’m from Lethbridge. Love these people!

007twmYou got this partner! Giving Up is not an option!
I can only hope in some small way , I can influence some of the younger generations to prepare for later in life .
It must be nice BECAUSE you and your family have worked hard to make it so, there is no magic here just HARD work , keep going guy's you deserve it :)
I love you folks and what messages you send. You inspire me and many more. I met you briefly at the Paul Bunyan show. Such kind folks!
Good morning from Upstate South Carolina. Can't wait to finish watching this video. Have a productive day. We no longer have car inspections in South Carolina. I believe they stopped back in the 90s. It must be some inspection in Pa if you have to leave it for a while.
Good morning Tommy, Mike from Spartanburg. I'm so glad we don't have inspections too. Have a good day.
Very well said.. sometimes you need to look beyond the darkness and sorrow to get to the good times. Most times hard work pays off !
We're being taught to hate success Mike. I've got a person in my family that feels the same way. If she would work as hard on herself as she does at hating everyone else she'd be happier.
💯👍
To add to this, I heard a guy the other day say,
"the harder I work the luckier I get"!
When I was growing up as a teen if someone had told me I’d have the things and property I have today I’d have laughed at you, but here I am today
Mike and Melissa, you guys keep doing what you’re doing and ignore the “It must be nice” crowd!
My wife is the same. But she is happy that I am in the same room while watches her tv shows.
Love it!
M&M you two are an inspiration to so many. God is working through you (and UA-cam) in ways you can only imagine. Keep the faith. Love your channel!
Mike, you should consider putting sheets of plexiglass over the top of the firewood bin in the warm weather to act as a solar kiln.
Great Channel, Great message. Came across the channel about a month ago and have been trying to watch through at least a video a day before bed.
God will provide, and hard work. You're both blessed to have each other. God bless.
I enjoyed your words of thought before the wood splitting. A d the DOT pretzels are good!
Keep being you Morgan's! We love you guys! We enjoy you bringing your family to our family every day. Sycamore Ranch (Kim and Dave from Frederick Md)
God Bless
