@@HamptonYourHouse That's the best woodworking website I know 🔨⚒️
Belle you did a great job. The coffee table looks fantastic. I love it.💕
Thanks so much! 😊
Love your chipper personality. I love the deals on used furniture. They flip very well. Good job.
Thanks so much that's very kind!! Thanks for watching! 🥰
Beautiful love the brown and white, but I would love to see the gray❤️
Thanks!! Yes I'm the same, I'm hoping to find another great coffe table or another furniture piece soon so I can try out the grey too!! 😊💗
I love this transformation. You must have a great hubby and kids for getting you the orbital sander.
Yep, sure do!!💜 Thanks! This table is still going strong a few years later! 😊💜
I just bought a coffee table and this is the exact result I’m going for.
I love the ivory base (so sick of the stark white look), the contrast with the stained top is a look that I adore. I’m even going to use the same drawer pull. I love taste!!
Aww sounds great! Best of luck with your project!! 😊💜
I love ur videos !!!waitin more videos All about Hampton…Bravo 👏🏻 👍💞
Thanks so much!! More to come!! 💜😊
Very nice!! Any tips on sanding? Like when do you know you've sanded it enough? New to this- thanks!!
Thanks! With this one I sanded the top until all of the previous stain was all gone, and the bits I was painting white I just sanded until I was sure that none of the previous varnish was going to flake off. Real wood is fairly forgiving thankfully!! 😂💜
The coffee table came out nice. I’m into old Florida and would have just put a clear coat on the table after it was sanded the different colors and wood tone was beautiful. Either way the table was awesome.
Great idea, that would have looked lovely too! It always feels a bit risky, staining right after sanding it down!! 😂 Thanks so much! 😍
Woodglut comes with very useful plans with all the details you need.
Good to know, thank you! 😊
Thank u
Looks so gorgeous! So no under coat or primer for the white?
Thank you, glad you like it! I didn't use any for this project, but I kind of wish I had as two years on, in a few places I can faintly see the old finish (or it could possibly be the wood tannins bleeding through a little). So yep, I would recommend using a primer first. Water-based would be fine, unless you think the wood colour is quite likely to bleed through, then oil-based would be better. Hope that helps! 🥰
Leave it like it is its beautiful!
Thanks, glad you like it!! I did leave it like this, and it still looks amazing, the stain and varnish has held up so well!! 😊 Thanks for watching and commenting! 💜
Looks great! Can I ask where did you buy your grey couch from? I’m looking for something similar.
Thank you! Yes sure, it was from Plush, and it's the Berlin 3 seater sofa in the fabric "Mirage Pewter". It's very comfy, we would recommend it! 😊
@@HamptonYourHouse thank you so much for replying! I’ll have to check it out ☺️ I really enjoy your videos. Thanks again take care.
@@Cassandra_Rose_82 No worries! Thank you for watching!😊
You need a bigger brush!
😂 You're probably right! 😂
I thought the top could have done it with a lighter shade of varnish…but looks great anyway
Yes I almost did a grey wash! I might try it next time.😊 Thanks so much for watching!
Actually, I take my words back…after watching tons of videos of upcycling furniture, I came to the realisation this is just great. I was thinking about the whole whitey look but I think you had a better idea, classy and simple 🙂
@@yvasquez2449 Awww, thanks! 😊
I did exactly the same thing, didn’t like the red, so painted it all white and put a runner in a striped fabric, to tie in with my main cushions. I didn’t want too many colours. It’s great to see an Aussie blogger, doing the Hampton style in affordable prices. I love IKEA! I have only just found you, which is amazing, I’m always looking up Hampton styling, you have never come up until now. Lucky me. Have a great day.
Thanks so much, that's lovely to hear!! 😊 Glad you found my channel, so great to find some Aussie viewers too!! 💜x
Looks perfect!
Thanks so much! 😊
Just wondering what white to use,im about to do my dining table and chairs
Im so excited and pumped after watching your video ❤
Awww thank you, that's so good to hear! I used Dulux Vivid White Aquanamel in low sheen. Hope your project goes well! 🥰
Hi Belle, amazing transformation. I have a mid century cabinet that I want to restore, would u be able to provide some tips/ guidance? Thanks heaps
Yes, for sure! Do you have any questions in particular? You can also check out my other furniture painting/restoration videos which have some tips that might be helpful to you! 😊
Great video, lovely result. Upcycling is so creative and satisfying. Love the Hamptons style and I have used cedar stain which is lighter than walnut and blends in with my other furniture.
Sounds lovely!! Thank you for watching! 🥰
It turned out beautifully. The grey wash would of looked bomb 👌🏾👌🏾
Thank you, so glad you like it! Yes, I think I might do another one and try out a grey wash at some point! It's so much fun seeing projects all coming together! x
Hi belle what paint did you use on tbe $10 coffe table. Im after a glossy look. Thanks Debbie
Hi Debbie, the white I used was Dulux Aquanamel (water-based) Low Gloss in Vivid White, but you can also get it in "Semi Gloss" or "Gloss" to give you a glossier look. The top was Wattyl Colourwood Stain and Varnish (oil-based) in Satin (semi-gloss) and the colour was Walnut. Hope that helps! 😊💜
I just love that old scratched dented pine furniture just the way it is but you did a great job sanding, painting and making it beautiful.
Thank you very much! It was a fun project! 😊
Thank you for positing!! I’m about to do this with matching end tables and a coffee table
Sounds great! Glad you enjoyed it and good luck with your project!! 😊
