36:43 To answer your question, in like Season 1 Episode 13 something of Dino Fury some monster with the power to reincarnate anyone in the universe brought back Lord Zed and basically slapped a bomb collar on his neck. So, stupidly, to free 4 of the rangers that got captured, the last Ranger had to *free Lord Zed* In then he just teleported away and basically told this alien-squid-collector and said to her “Yo, there’s this planet called Earth, the most evil people in the universe have been trying to destroy and rule it and all have failed, what to share it?” That’s basically What happened.
@@AleksKieca That’s wild but man I never thought that Lord Zedd would ever return, but the fact they brought another threat to the earth is some nasty work 😂😂😂😂
Lol man I haven’t seen Rita or Zedd since I was a kid, and seeing them back as an adult threw me ALL THE WAY OFF 😂😂😂😂 But yeah I need to watch this ASAP, just off of the return of Zedd alone, hopefully they allow him to be more evil then silly, because I heard they had to add some silliness to him because he was “too scary” for kids.
Sadly, MegaForce/Super MegaForce was pretty haphazardly done...the guy in charge essentially was doing things his way, which eventually led to his firing in prior to Dino Charge (thank god for that); and it also didn't help that they essentially had to combine two different sentai series into the same storyline; because when the series was revived with Samurai, it aired on Nickelodeon and they have this weird and stupid mandate that shows can only have 20-22 episodes a season...so while in the past, an entire sentai series could be adapted for a whole year, this mandate flipped the table and they had to spread the source material over two years; and that rightly fucked up our anniversary numbering, as prior to this; our 'milestone' anniversaries were the year after Super Sentai had theirs; and they initially wanted to skip adapting Goseiger and just adapt Gokaiger, but I think there was a clause that said they couldn't skip adapting a sentai series...yet that got changed after Super MegaForce when they skipped Go-Busters in favor of adapting Kyoryuger for Dino Charge, likely due to Go-Busters' poor ratings, so they had an excuse. Then Hasbro just goes back and adapts Go-Busters into Beast Morphers anyway lol Luckily, things get better with Dino Charge (Ninja Steel is debatable to some), and Hasbro did pretty well with Beast Morphers. But yea, that Nick mandate REALLY fucked things up good; and its a shame.
I been hearing a lot of people saying how bad Megaforce was, I thought about giving it a watch, but I’m probably going to watch the super sentai version. @@GrizzyKanglive I will say; another alternative to watching the episodes and the various seasons is going with Linkara's History of Power Rangers series; he initially started it when RPM was the 'final season', and went on to do retrospectives of every season after leading up to Cosmic Fury; if you don't want to slog through hours upon hours of episodes, his series is a great way of going over every season.
The Alien Rangers mini-season was actually done to give the main cast vacations because they were really struggling with the production schedule. Between acting and showing up for all the different in-person events, it was wearing them down really hard. That's why Karan (Aisha) left and was replaced by Nakia (Tanya). I don't know if she left before and that prompted the vacation or if she decided while on vacation that she didn't want to return, but she left completely specifically because she didn't think she could keep up with the schedule.
I never knew that, that makes since. The Alien rangers thing gave them a break, while they keep the show running. I could only imagine the schedule they had back then, It must have been rough for them.
@@Antelieris1 In that case I feel even more bad for David Yost. Remember that the character Billy Cranston was the first ranger to transform back into his normal self? And given that you said the other cast members were temporarily replaced by the little child actors, I'm willing to speculate that the writers, producers, directors, etc cut David Yost's vacation short just to bring him back early and continue harassing him off screen. As if he wasn't getting berated enough for his "orientation", those people weren't even kind enough to cut him some slack like his other mighty morphin ranger actors.
@@The_Psycho_Red_Ranger I don't know if it was cut short or he agreed, but yeah he did come back early. The vacation also doubled as a chance for the producers to prepare for Zeo, and David helped prepare for his role as a secondary mentor as well.
I think the Alien Rangers were just an experiment to see if they could start changing the team's outfits, given that the Aliens' suits WERE the ones from the same Sentai the Ninja/Samurai Zords were from.
@GrizzyKanglive From what little I've heard, the Sentai was a lot of fun. Taken from Japanese folk lore. What's really trippy was the Zords were given to the two series BACKWARDS.

Lord Zedd was purified in Power Rangers In Space. But then brought back in Power Rangers Dino Fury. Also, Lord Zedd isn't the only Mighty Morphin villain to be revived after Zordon's Sacrifice. Goldar got revived in Power Rangers Beast Morphers, although he got destroyed by the MMPR, Dino Charge, and Dino Thunder Rangers. While Rita Repulsa's evil spirits return in Once and Always and take over Alpha 8 body and create Robo Rita. Then Robo Rita made a Robo Snizzard and Robo Minotaur. It's funny because here in Brazil it was translated as "Super Patrulha Delta" because we had to keep the order of the letters because if we translated the official it would be "PED".
Linkara gives very in depth reviews of each season in his 'History of Power Rangers', but for him the lowest points it seemed were from Turbo, Operation Overdrive, and Megaforce. If I had to pick, I'd say he had the most negative reaction to Operation Overdrive. Just giving this because I havent watched Power Rangers in a loooonnngggg time. Also that weird opening of the first season is because they did a 'remaster' of the first season. I also LOVE that they were able to get the OG Black and Blue Rangers back. ESPECIALLY managing to get David Yost back since he did not leave the series on good terms, as he had received harassment for being gay, which is sad to hear honestly, so, it was great for him to be able to come back without hard feelings. As for Lord Zed's return, I believe that little plot thread starts in Dino Fury, as Cosmic Fury is a direct follow up to it, and to know about the method used to revive him, THAT gets explained in Beast Morphers. All three of those are pretty big love letter call backs to the series, some have said perhaps over-reliant on nostalgia, but hey, Power Rangers has kind of thrived on that.
