Just back tracking through your videos, and I seen this one.
Caught my eye, because I thought I recognized the wooden box of children's carpenter tools.
The folks that I bought my place from left one just like it.
Although it's somewhat older than yours is, but basically the same things are inside it when you open yours originally.
It's been beside my roll top desk for many years now on a shelf that holds many special items from over the years.
It mainly holds antique tools I've broght back from unrecognisable lumps of rust.
That I slowly through various methods recovered from the graves for many, to actually working useful tools for the most part.
Not always successful in my efforts, but some where just too far deteriorated to function.
But I don't know why I held onto the little box half full of miniature carpenters tools, and I never imagined to turn into such a special creation as you have young man.
Your full of surprises what with your eagerness to learn about things from across the world, and then to pull something such as that out of your bag of ideas hidden away inside your head.
I'm impressed, and you must have consumed every piece of writing to be found on the island your were raised on.
I myself consumed everything I could get my hands on in my childhood days, and did so well into my adult life, but my eyes aren't what they were.
So I discovered UA-cam, especially since Public television isn't what it once was, and everything has moved to satellite or cable television these days.
Which I simply refuse to be held hostage for that kind of money, when there's still a way to improve one's mind, and be entertained by such as yourselves Sir.
Thank you, and I honestly mean that I truly do.
    Sincerely

Very interesting and great video but I feel like it should contain an antique revolver and some silver bullets. I think even in The UK you could legally purchase a pre 1898 pocket revolver in say .32 rimfire and load up five or six silver bullet cartridges.

This is wonderful, but I REALLY wish you would go back and do a voiceover for this of us curious how exactly you made this. Obviously we can see HOW it was done, but we have no idea what you used, where you got the stuff, what maybe didn’t work, or how exactly you aged/distressed the box. I get “how relaxing” some find it, but I speak for those of us who are curious and would like to make one of our own. Thanks

Many years ago I had a folding knife just like that. It had 1942 and the war ministry arrow stamped on the blade. I have no idea where it is now. I guess they were made in the millions and issued to the troops during the 2nd WW.

I have at least 4 or 5 of them! Still haven't found an exact origin for them, but yeah I'm guessing they were issued in the war and those everyone had them lying around in sheds.

That camera at the beginning, it’s not an AGFA is it?
It looks identical to my dad’s camera he had as a boy, mind you I think all brands looked pretty similar in that period.
Dad would’ve been 100 this year!
The camera took some pretty good photos!!!

I can imagine you gallumping through the frozen heather in your kilt with your poor nadgers being thrashed by the ice. Those haggis are terrrible wee beasties, once they get a grip nothing but boiling water will shift them. In England we have exactly the same trouble with the French.
