My story is also somewhat like yours, Sartaz. I was studying in 7th class. I did not attend school for a month due to typhoid. I had not touched books for one whole month. When I rejoined school I had to appear for monthly test. I got 2 marks out of 50 not just because I was absent from school for a month, also because I was weak in English. Gradually, I developed interest in English and today I can write and speak fairly well despite not having studied in college.
