Luka Doncic & Kyrie Irving REACT To Boston Celtics leading 3-0 in Game 3 of the 2024 NBA Finals. Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic had their combined best offensive game of the NBA Finals. It still wasn’t enough for the Dallas Mavericks to beat the Boston Celtics.
Boston Celtics took control of the 2024 NBA Finals Wednesday with a 106-99 victory for a 3-0 series lead in Game 3. They are one victory from their first NBA championship since 2008 and their 18th overall, which would break a tie with the Los Angeles Lakers for most titles in NBA history. Game 4 is on Friday in Dallas.
It was a hectic fourth quarter. Dallas Mavericks trailed 91-70 with 11:03 left in the game but a 22-2 Dallas run trimmed Boston’s lead to 93-92. Boston Celtics held off a spirited comeback attempt from the Dallas Mavericks to win Game 3 of the 2024 NBA Finals 106-99 and take a 3-0 lead, all but putting the series away in front of the American Airlines Center crowd in Dallas. No NBA team has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit.
Luka Dončić exited with 27 points on 27 shots, six assists and six rebounds, while Kyrie Irving led all scorers with 35 points on 13-of-28 shooting. The Dallas Mavericks have relied on their two-man game for much of the playoffs, but it was the Celtics' duo that made the bigger difference overall.
Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown each had their first 30-point games of the series. Jayson Tatum had 31 points (mostly in the first half), six rebounds and five assists, while Brown came on strong in the second half to post 30 points, eight rebounds and eight assists.

He has also played for the United States national team, with which he won gold at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup and the 2016 Summer Olympics. In February 2020, he was elected as one of the seven vice-presidents of the National Basketball Players Association, replacing Pau Gasol. Kyrie Irving's decision not to get vaccinated led to him missing the majority of the 2021-2022 NBA season.
Throughout his career, Kyrie Irving has promoted numerous conspiracy theories.
