Raymond J Most put 150cc GY6 engines in, but they sell kits to bore them up to 232. There's a dude out there that put a 700cc Yamaha or something in it but GY6 is usually the go-to.

Gobby Prick Look for Zoomer, there's loads of them in the UK, some already chopped. You could always chop a 180 runner or and old 2 stroke hexagon up. An old mate of mine makes chopper scoots from lammies and vespas. Take the plastic off and see what's underneath, they're all pretty much the same thing skinned. As for the bits, import the stuff you can't get here. Scooter mags, eBay, shows ... they're all useful sources of info. I rode a chopped hexagon around at Le Mans every year, MOT wasn't a problem. Twin radiators, frame comes in half for transport and a 172 kit. It's all doable if you're prepared to put the money and time into it, even importing a finished bike isn't hard, but there's plenty about without going to that trouble.
Not a huge fan of this kind of riding.. but love the work on the bikes.. great custom stuff. It isn't what you ride.. it's that you ride!

You can get them used on Craigslist for $3000 depending where you look, but I'd say around $8K to build one from completely stock
