  • Drew Dixon joins RSTV Live in a discussion around the alleged Russell Simmons rape and the music industry amongst other things.
    Drew Dixon is a producer, writer, activist, entrepreneur and former A&R executive, who spearheaded the recording of iconic songs American Boy (Estelle f. Kanye West), My Love Is Your Love (Whitney Houston), Maria Maria (Carlos Santana), I’ll Be There For You (Method Man f. Mary J. Blige), and many more. In January 2020 Drew appeared as the main subject of On The Record, a documentary directed by Academy Award nominated filmmakers, Amy Ziering and Kirby Dick, which premiered at Sundance. The film, which was released in May 2020 on HBO Max, documents Drew’s decision to come forward in the #MeToo movemement as a survivor of sexual harassment and assault in the music industry. Drew later joined fellow survivors and activists to advocate for the Adult Survivors Act in New York, and at the invitation of Governor Kathy Hochul, Drew delivered a speech at the signing of the bill in Albany, NY. Drew is also an award winning independent film producer, an interview subject in the 2023 Netflix documentary series, Ladies First, and a graduate of Stanford University and Harvard Business School. She lives in Brooklyn, NY with her two teenagers and their cats, George and Weezie.

    Did you file a police report afterwards? So you knew he was a rapist and didn’t turn him in,didn’t get a rape kit so he would be put away so he wouldn’t do that to anyone else.
