Someday, most likely not, we’ll hopefully get the whole manga adapted to film. But in all honesty, the only person I would trust is Hayao Miyazaki himself to direct it. This is incredible, I’ve read the manga multiple times and have always imagine the places, characters, and what the manga would be if animated. Thank you for this, I’m grateful for it.

No offense, but the trailer looks very strange. And it is clear why. The essence of the video is the idea. And this idea is supergenial! If there were people who could bring this idea to life, then I would play this game. It was probably as informative as The Witcher 3 and surpassed Horizon zero in gameplay. Yes, what about Horizon. Zelda herself would have saluted. After all, we already have a series of games about Nino Kuni, so playing about Nausicaa doesn't seem like nonsense! P.S By the way, I'm from Russia. Nausicaa is loved and appreciated here. I personally and a whole generation of children grew up on it. Parents also really like to watch the movie. I hope that everything is fine with you
Nausicaä is my favorite fictional character and Valley of the Wind is one of my two most favorite movies. Even if there's never a videogame. These scenes will forever color my imagination of what one could be. Watching this video literally made my heart start beating different. Thank you. Love the environments and insects. 11/10. And while the models for the people aren't as perfect. I love how they capture the Ghibli feel, with maybe just a little bit of a Dragon Quest feel mixed in with them.

At first I thought it was purely based on the movie, but when I started seeing manga characters and scenes I was filled with joy. Wonderful job, amazing! It's a shame that we will never have a Nausicaa game, but seeing the current state of the gaming industry, with all the DLC, gacha, season passes and whatnot, it's probably for the best. ...or maybe it's just me and sour grapes haha.
DLC wouldnt be a bad idea for a Nausicaa game though. Prequel episode for Kushana or Yupa, post-manga content of Nausicaa and Selm's adventures discovering buried cities of the Old World... I'd be all for it!

I love Miyazaki don't get me wrong, but my god he is completely overly self-righteous and pretty hypocritical when it comes to his stance on video games (in my opinion). Maybe seeing something like this would change his mind, maybe, I have no clue.
The movie covers maybe the first 20% of the manga. It has a certain neutrality regarding conflict that is missing in the film but shows up in later films like Mononoke Hime. Highly recommended.

Besides the obvious added lore and more visuals, it added a happier ending compared to the original short story because the writer of the story was involved in the process of making it. He even voiced the main villain of the story. What I'm trying to say is that a video game adaptation can be at least as good if it's made with care, no matter the time and technology. But convincing Miyazaki to change his mind is akin to tell a rock to melt.

Miyazaki ran into copyright issues with Kiki's Delivery Service because the Japanese term used for "Delivery Service" from the original novel was copyrighted by Yamato delivery. He absolutely wouldn't be moved, so Yamato eventually caved and asked for the rights to use Kiki in their advertising instead.

Yes. As I say at the end of the video, the potential is there. Specially if they use the manga and not just the movie as source material.
