hey! hmm, advice for hell runs. - Try to stick to the "main path". levels are generated with a route to the exit, leaving many rooms that are not important and could just get you killed if you spend time trying to explore them. - In the same way, damsels can be too distracting. Often I see beginners spend too much time or resources trying to get them, and end up losing more health than the 1 point they gain. - If you have lots of bombs, use them to make things easier. If there's a bad enemy in your way, or some nasty looking terrain, make it safer with bombs or go a different route. - Always look ahead carefully and plan what your next move is before jumping into a situation. - Of course jetpack is a great item, but the two other most helpful items are paste and compass. Paste makes every enemy easier, and the compass is very useful in Temple and Hell. - Watch some casual runs for tips. Speedruns may not be that helpful at first.
