The house is modeled almost exactly like Visage which leaves a sour taste tbh.
Not just the house, but it looks like a knock off of Visage with some stuff from Luto throw in as well. Even the preview on Steam of the demon, resembles that of the cover of Visage....disappointing.

@@SamFisher6791 I saw your comment and youre spot on with everything you said. Visage is horror done right, Ill even give Madison that credit too. Both games were so good, IMHO. Its one thing to be inspired by these games, but its completely disrespectful to just rip shit from them, copy/paste and slapping your game title right on there. I even noticed how there are "chapters" as well, something else that Visage did. I was so excited when I heard about this game, but after seeing the demo, nah...this isnt it. I went back and played Visage again not too long ago cause its just so good. Now replaying Madison on hard mode. Lol.

All these games are following the same recipe, darkness, house, flashlight, jumpscares... Why can't they be more creative, there can be suspense and horror in broad daylight (Medium, SH2, and so on) Or with lights in the rooms, like Suffering, SH3 and 4...
I Agree, I’m not sure how much money goes into making a game like this but maybe they’re sticking to what works but it doesn’t bring originality or popularity to get huge attention to become something profitable. Idk

Look up the concept for silent hill 5 that got scrapped. Early stages , but my heart breaks thinking it could've been a solid game

This game scary just like PT
Despite the players obvious attempts to make this game look scarier than it is, I've been more unsettled by how the bottle of toilet duck looks at me when I'm in my bathroom.
This was utter dogshit and quite blatantly trying to copy Visage, roughly to the point of outright plagiarism!
Too many obvious jumpscares, that had little to no effect, a constant squeezing noise, that was absolutely infuriating and just no creep factor, irrespective of how desperately the player attempted to make it appear that it had!
Sometimes, a little is faaaar more. Tone down the constant spooky music, instead just leave the natural sounds and utter silence from the house. Silence is absolutely amazing for building tension, use the shadows cast from objects, to create seemingly humanoid figures, when viewed from a distance.
Use bright light to your advantage, with the occasional random flicker and the barely audible hum of fluorescent lighting too.
There's so much you could've done with this setting and the dev blew it on cheap scares and freaky noises. Utter dog turd. They clearly haven't the first idea of how to make horror, what works in horror (specifically, supernatural / paranormal horror) and have no clue about how to first establish a setting, nor what effectively builds tension.
Needless to say, from watching this demo, I certainly won't be purchasing this game 😴
Silence is *painfully* underutilised by horror devs, sadly. It's as if they have something against it...
