I’m sure you won’t say but I live in NH and would love to know where this is. Love everything outdoors. Looks like a great spot for some much needed relaxing with the wife away from all the other distractions of the world.
Nice catch! Been camping there for years with the kids. Always a great spot, away from the crowds. It’s definitely become a lot more popular in the last several years. Used to be a canoe hidden in the woods, wife and I used to borrow it to go fishing. Had a bull moose come within 30 yards of us one year. Always a great time!
One of my favorite out of the way camping spots as well. Couldn’t agree with your statement more! I have used the canoe once but was unable to find it this year… figured it was stashed on the wrong side that I was looking on.
I went there last fall with my girlfriend. Fun hike but only caught one little brookie and then the spot got blown up by a troop of boy scouts camping. Not sure how anyone would get a boat in there but it would be great to be able to explore the other side of the pond. Maybe could pack in an inflatable canoe or something.
Oh no, nothing like having a spot blown up by a troop of boy scouts haha. Well at least you got one! I was thinking the same exact thing about the canoe, not sure which brave souls hiked that thing all the way in there, but it must have been a TON of work. Never a bad time when your outdoors camping though :)
It was definitely not easy, but there is not a lot of elevation gain to this hike so it wasn’t terrible. The trout always seem to taste better the harder you work for them though 😉
Google “remote trout ponds” in the state you are looking for or “hike in trout ponds” and you will find plenty of stuff similar to this! DM me if you need some help with stuff :)
Hi Todd, glad you liked the video! There is no reservation required for this campsite as it is first come first serve. There are probably 6-8 various spots around the pond!
Roll them up in corn meal & a little black pepper
LFOD !

Beautiful spot I hiked it once. What you catch the Brookie on?
believe it was a rooster tail?
Just wondering, most remote nh trout ponds are fly fishing only????
this is not a fly fishing only pond
Can we go back yet??
October trip with the foliage?!
This is not remote.. Casual camping trial.
You sound like a ton of fun to go camping with!
