All of sudden I have remembered about Di Gi Charat, typed it into UA-cam search and now I'm horrified by the fact that more than ten years passed since I saw the series...

Bruh, I have been looking for this song for literally decades. Back in the heyday of Napster and Kaza, I downloaded this song when looking for Digimon music. It was labeled “Kari’s Theme” and I burned it to a CD and listened to it countless times. Absolutely loved it! Never knew the real name or how to find it. Every few years I would remember it and try googling the little bit of English in the chorus to no avail. And today, just now, it finally worked!

Let's see... The original series (which this is part of) came out in 1999, which means I was in my late teens at the time... I'm not real sure when the original fan-sub was made, but judging by the video quality, I'd say... maybe? But only because I had a friend who was into "obscurities" like this and the _TwinBee_ anime back then.
Awesome story. It's a little bit sad these things aren't so rare and hard to find these days. Now there's a deluge of anime, instead of a few treasures you had to really hunt for. :P

Di Gi Charat is easily one of the best shows of it's format, exceeds what it was meant to even be. Sounds like an overexaggeration but I love it so much. Mainly for Henna Ikimono.

Di Gi Charat may be seen as just a tie-in to the real GAMERS store, but i don't know, it feels so calming to watch it, I really like how they do comedy but the whole show brings this feeling of confort which can also be said about a lot of anime from that period. Not sure about the 2003 reboot but I had a really fun time watching all of the original and it's several OVAs, and the sakuga shot in ending is very charming.
