Lyrics:
An extra nail for your coffin
Certain blood has been shed for uncertain reasons
You will never quiet this storm
A cold wind to chill your bones
I bring the hammer down
#LambOfGod #AnotherNailForYourCoffin #OfficialLyricVideo
The first half exposes all the wounds and the second half heals them.
Damn, this outro riff is so fucking good. Doesn’t matter how often you listen to it, gets in your blood everytime
2:36 I cant even put into words how amazing this riff is man.. to go from absolute brutality to that beautiful groove.. just wow
Amazing way to finish the album too.
something about the dual shredding just hits the spot, doesn't it? its why i love killswitch engage and some other bands, a lot, dual metal guitars and it switches from melodic to metal screams of pure emotion
the only good part of the song

Ashes of the Wake proves LoG is one of the best metal bands ever.
Stew Pidd Indeed.. Megadeth are the OGs LoG are the new generation following in their footsteps.
Ashes of the Wake is maybe the best metal album ever. There is no bad song on this record.
@@Hanys8 Seriously. I don't want to over exaggerate or sound like this is coming from a fanboy, but I really don't think a better death/groove metal album exists. Perfection from the beginning to the very end.

UnbasedHightechMan commercial garbage? What does that even mean

@UnbasedHightechMan May seem like "generic commercial garbage" to you because LOG is one of the most influential modern metal bands. Pretty much any big band nowadays takes inspiration from these guys.
@UnbasedHightechMan Methinks you're unaware of what "commercial" means in the context of music.
When you hear that hollowed scream, you know it's a Lamb Of God song...
When you hear that Mesa guitar tone, you know its LOG*

I feel happy for all those who just discovered this song. Now you will value this gold album even more.
Spot on, gem of a track
2:37 till the end is one of the most underrated metal riff melodies, ever. Hits right in the boo-boo no matter how many times you’ve heard it.
Underrated ? The song just released not even a day ago.
@@amrindersingh5952 Apparently it was a Japanese exclusive song from ashes of the wake
@@home541_ oh that explains a lot. Thanks .

@@amrindersingh5952 lol that’s funny. I’ve been listening to this song since I was like 13. I’m almost 27 now.
Damn Japanese bonus track slipped by my ears all these years....
Listen to condemn the hive. One of the sickest riffs ever invented lies in that track
Such a nice Christian song
Why doesnt anyone talk on john campbel n his tight bass playing
Because unless you play bass the bass is hard to pick out. Same goes for other instruments.
I play drums so my main focus in songs is mostly on drums and theres been plenty of times where i'll try pointing out some subtle drum notes in a song to non-drum people and they can't hear what i'm talking about but it sticks out like a sore thumb to me
Got u....
I know I can barely here the Bass in most Lamb of god songs or not at all.
i can't hear the bass at all :/ most metal subgenres the bass is used to in some way to boost the guitar , so it's really hard to hear the counter melodies of the bass.
Some songs it is louder than other for example Ashes Of The Wake is a good example of his playing
Randy Blythe best metal vocalist of all time horns up 🤘
Not only is this one of most badass and musically advanced albums ever, but it's also amazingly produced. Such crisp high quality sound. GOAT album in my opinion
Targaryens brother margaryen
Yes. Production is crispy, clean and clear but wrath is right there but with more dark smokey tender ambient wonder.
Back when metal was actually produced properly
The outro riff is right up there with bacon in terms of tastiness
euro snuke ikr and the solo is fucking killer!
Bacon from the ass of the rare and very elusive golden tailed swamp donkey is more comparable.
Best comment on the internet ever!!!!!!!

its not on the vinyl man, you are good. its a new song that was omitted from the b side
before this album, I thought Korn was heavy and sketboarding in khakis was extreme. now I eat steel bars for breakfast.
Before this, I thought The Rasmus was heavy 😂 LOG and Ashes Of The Wake really got me into metal!
Jay leveille Never been sketboarding before sounds interesting 🤔
Before this album i thought Rage Against The Machine were heavy and this album showed me my passion for intense vocals, ive been screaming for three years now and do a pretty good impression of Randy or so I've been told
Edit: spelling error
Gotta give KoRn some credit though, Untouchables and Take a Look in the Mirror are pretty damn heavy by NuMetal standards.
This shit is actually in the weaker part of the metal spectrum. It's like alternative rock compared to some shit. But I still like it. You want examples just ask
I was 16 and I went to my first lamb of god concert with my mom. Changed my life indefinitely.
i'm 15 now, but i'll be seeing lamb of god this December when i turn 16! cant wait.
They did what?! They give us this masterpiece from best album that was released since 15 years.
It was originally released in the japanese release of the Ashes album 15 years ago
I remember hearing this song for the first time when it came out with the Japanese version. Ugh.... that outtro never gets old, such a beautiful song, one of the most heartfelt riffs/solos that lamb of God has put out.
You're right
Please play the last riff at my funeral... one day.

One of the greatest metal albums of all time, period.
Very much so. Although I think As The Palaces Burn is their best release, this album was an incredible follow-up, and it's just as re-playable as its predecessor was.
New American Gospel had a gem or two, as did Sacrament. But the best this band ever sounded, to me, was in the Palaces and Ashes records.
I wish they'd approach an album with the idea that these songs are skyscrapers on an empty plot of land, and that they'd have to write a sprawling sonic metropolis around them, using them as a visual guide for consistency and appropriate commonality.
Maybe if they heard that metaphor, they wouldn't think it was just rehashing what's already been done and give us another album worthy of their name.
Fokk yea
Wait this is a LoG classic?
Always has been.
Congratulations on 15th anniversary LoG
I used to skip school to literally cover as many songs as I could. Haha I remember falling on my kit from a 2 hour playlist.
They should play this live someday
It’s crazy to think that Mark didn’t like the sound of his tone on the Ashes of the wake album. He actually hated it. That’s insane! Goes to show these guys are their own biggest critics and that’s what makes them the best at what they do IMO. They each give it all they got and you can recognize it in their playing. All hail LOG! 🤘🏼
The last instumental parts is hypnotising, one of the greatest pices of music I've ever heard.
The flows on this song go crazy
This song comes in so fucking hard
I am deeply grateful and saddened that this is the first time I've ever heard this track
Fuckin "I'm going to ride that horse we've beaten to death and deliver its stinking carcass to your doorstep, a gift from all the dead children that are the progeny of your ballistic union" are probably the most metal lyrics ever.
What the fuck?!?! That change took me somewhere else... to a time when musicians played instruments... and not everyone could make music with no talent and a computer.... a time before Cardi B, and mumble rap... I was fortunate enough to see Lamb live once. Amazing. This song is new to me, but that change is fucking epic!!!!
They should have left this on the album
lamb of God sounds like a really heavy pantera and I love it.
I don't have much time for Lamb of God these days but hearing this track (for the first time, actually) makes me think I should revisit this album.
Daaaaammmmmmmmmmmm
The early 2000s were such a great time for metal.
Waking the fallen
@@yoav04444 classic core album
The way I see it early 2000's were great but most modern metal bands were still rough and finding their sound, late 2000's was when they polished their style and we got absolute masterpieces like Ashes of the Wake, An Ocean Between Us, Constellations, Attack of the Wolf King, Deep Blue, The Fall of Ideals, etc.
finally this masterpiece got the 1 mil views it deserves
People say that its the best Lamb of God riff. I think its because this is one of the only melodic riffs out there))
agreed lol, it's a fairly simple riff, but it's so unexpected from their usual style

Greece in the 3rd of July! Please play the whole Ashes of the Wake!
Ashes of the wake is my favourite album from LoG!!! I own the physical even
When you listen to this album and this song in particular it encompasses what I would call Lamb of God's true sound. Ashes of the Wake I would say they really pinnacled in terms of passion, 9/11 was pretty fresh, the Middle Eastern themes are unmistakable it really hit home their for a while and when Randy ran for president too a few years later it made everything ring so true even today, as to where the band's passion is now they have to be feeling the strain of just doing it all the time, you see how they help and interact with their fans I really hope they all go out the way the want to because they certainly earned it, and I'll be with them as long as I can
15 years...

That opening lick is just so beautiful

Adah BombDon lol. Cool story bro. Oh I mean “sir”.
@@adahbombdon1512 yeaaa about that.. you just let me know when you get the ability to start drumming at 21, self taught, with no formal music knowledge and be as big as he is. you're commenting on a song from an album that came out in 2004, if you don't know Chris as an inspiration and guru for these new guys, i'm not sure why you're here in the first place
@@adahbombdon1512 - your ignorance has no sway here little one 😘
Finduh he ...musical background, starting late, and being self taught, could be major reasons why his last 3 albums are the same galloping beats over and over. His live performance is laughable. Dude hasn’t hit the Ruin solo in like a decade. Face it, I’m not ignorant, he fuckin sucks as a metal drummer. He’s only got worse and worse.

I don't care what anyone says but Lamb Of God is presently the greatest band. Screw sales, screw critics. They got groove and you can't deny. They go side by side with pantera with riffs.
