I can imagine if you had a 4 speed auto with a gear vendors behind it!!!! AWWWW man!!!! those rpm's would drop a lot. more!! Either way i. love the content!!! About time someone have footage of testing and tuning exactly how it would be if i was driving on the highway!! Love It!!!
@posty64 the engine or trans? I'm a believer in ignorance is bliss on the trans. The engine is always tough in the summer. I added back lines fron the back intake water passages to the front of the intake. That helped the engine significantly, probably 10-15 degrees cooler.
@@johnriv6761 980s, that's quick. It trapped 136 that day on 9.96 pass but I had a better run where I let off for 10.03 and 123, 1.429 60'. With progressive spray over been 1.363 60' and 6.05 1/8 th. I really want that first 5.xx 660.

Yes, about 10 different tracks. Some NA and some spraying 150. 3.50 gears with the kind of short tire on nitrous it ran out of steam on the big end so I've clicked into OD for a little more room in the rpm dept
@@rudde67ssm62 the gearvendor was primarily for the drive but I've used it two ways on the track. High altitude NA passes I run 2nd OD because it gives the higher 3.9 ratio. When at lower altitude and spraying 150 I can add OD in third when trapping low 140 mph.

Very similar set up to mine! Im 491/AFR 315s's...TH400...GV OD.....3.50 gear....255/60/15's
I have a th400 gear vendors overdrive also. Do you have a harmonic vibration at high speed? Thanks
@@musclebone7875 No mine doesn’t
@@Allianceoffroad ok thanks might be my pinion angle.
@@musclebone7875 Yeah most likely. Or slightly bent driveshaft/or needs rebalance.
@@musclebone7875 I do not
What stall converter do you have in this bad boy ?
Trans specialties xhd900. Labeled 9" for marketing but 10" 4400 rpm with mechanical diode
@@bure4me and no issues with over heating when you drive it on the streets with that set up ?

What is your PB 1/4 mile, NA and nitrous?
Had some really good air (300' da) at the end of 2020 and went 9.96 basically trying to run 10.0. This was when it had a 3.25 gear out back.
@@bure4me awesome! I got down to 9.83 @ 135.5 in my Olds, will be spraying for the 8s this coming season
