I was right next to the awesome sister of sin that had half body burn makeup who was nervous about meeting Papa. I saved her spot with a few other people while she did meet and greet and she got Ciriced later on. So happy for her

Hey, am I the only one who had problems hearing Dew’s guitar especially during his solos? It’s very clear his guitar wasn’t high enough in the mix in this video, but was also very evident when I was at the show.
Was hoping to catch them in their Irving show this coming September but things didn’t work out😔 I hope they come back to Texas in the next couple of years tho!!
Also last night during Watcher in the sky there was this dude pissing off a lot of people by shoving them to try to get in front but all the people he was shoving pulled him back and made in stay in the back

I shoot on a Samsung S20 Ultra, but all camera capture settings are set manually by me in order to dial in lighting/exposure levels and so I can try to capture the performance in the best quality that I possibly can. I'm always refining my technique and always trying to learn more so I can improve what I'm doing.
Samsung S22 Ultra with all settings manually set! Though I would say that controlling white balance and exposure settings goes a long way on any camera phone! I shot the Mastodon footage on my channel in 4K on a Z Flip 3 and it still looked great!
For a fact, he doesn’t use auto tune. However, there are some times during some songs that there’s a voiceover that comes through the speakers. He just talks along with it. I noticed it during this show. You can’t hear it very well in this video, but I noticed it at the show. I do know he does effects sometimes too. But a lot of singers do that.
@@j.gar66 3 or 4 of those people on stage are singing backup vocals and harmonies. It's one reason they sound so awesome live. eg. He Is is at least 2 voices throughout.

They’re known to use things like that during other songs. Even during “To The Pinnacle, To The Pit”. Those parts where he says those words are the growls straight from the song itself.
@@j.gar66 Ah OK. You're right those are backing tracks. They use them in some places like intros or on Con Clavi Con Dio where a male voice choir is needed but mostly all the vocals sound live to me and not autotuned.
Some of these lyrics are said to be satanistic. Who really knows. On the music side the band rocks. As for the lyrics or persona, is it real or a modern day Black Sabbath marketing deal? Gotta be bad to be good. If you are really that devout then nothing like this is a threat. Rock on.
I captured their closing song. I wish I had captured more, but I had to prioritize storage/battery for Ghost and Mastodon as well as optimize my camera settings in preparation. I will upload the video I captured before tomorrow's end if not sooner!

Ghost should get a professional videographer & ban phones. Sell the video for 20 bucks or whatever. People need to learn to live in the moment. Nothing worse than getting there early & having to watch an entire concert from the iPhone of the person in front of you.
I wonder how much those extremely talented musicians are paid...can't imagine that someone would play for Tobias to get absolutely no credit...Yeah I am not a big fan of him but absolutely his band..
I know im responding to an old comment... But honestly, I think a lot of great musicians would jump at a chance like that. Not everyone wants the fame associated with being on stage. These Ghouls can enjoy the upsides and avoid most downsides of being a performer. Also, I doubt they dont get paid enough.
