I loved ATWT's multi-generational framework, and the show thrived when viewers saw the interactions with 3 (sometimes 4) generations of Hugheses and Stewarts. I too wish there were more episodes with Grandpa Hughes and Judge Lowell--they were the best of friends despite their differing social statuses and outlooks. A 1971 TV guide issue featured most of ATWT's multi-gen cast. Would love seeing episodes around that time period.

I love the references to "Pa", I just wish his funeral still existed (June, 1976), or footage from 1975 leading up to his marriage with Irma Kopecki. It's bad enough the Judge was wrote out by the time of Dan Stewart's funeral, it would of been nice to have him there for that. Really, the last time he was on was for Dan and Kim's wedding. I love watching these, but I lament at it being so close to when two stalwarts were still on, and we can't see their last days...

I don't know why ATWAT didn't set up a Joyce vs. Lisa feud for the next 30 years ala Jill vs Katherine on y&r; they could have battled over men; Teddy could be in a love triangle vs Tom Hughes; there could have been a murder mystery with Mary Ellison the victim, etc...

I never thought much of Brad Hollister as a character. He conned the Hugheses out of their land that they shared with the Stewarts, and manipulated Lisa into giving him money to buy their property. He married Annie when he lusted for her sister Dee, causing much heartache for both Stewart sisters along with Ellen and David. I wish Judge Lowell had still been around to comfort his family and put Brad in his place.

That was nice of Joyce to offer @ 15:39 a check to reimburse the family for the totaled car (that she drove off the bridge when leaving town - and for Bob to decline to accept it saying the insurance company already paid for the car. In real life the company might have gone after Joyce to recoup what they paid out to the Hughes but written that loss off once it was determined she was dead; now that she showed up alive it is possible that they could have tried to recoup the $ from her).

      Joyce is ever-thoughtful.

Still not liking Brad Hollister. Lisa can certainly see through Joyce's web of lies and I never thought Sheila wasn't a well written character.

Brad's a mess, don't know enough about Sheila to comment. Regarding Lisa, she's shrewd - and no doubt a huge reason she can see thru Joyce's agenda is that she reminds her how she used to act in her initial years (early 1960's) in the storyline.
