I haven't slept in two days... I haven't been this inspired by a VST in since I bought MASCHINE 10 Years Ago. Wait till you realize how easy it is to create your own chords, or drag in your own samples and midi info. It is absolutely outstanding. It is so well curated. I'd love to meet the team behind the design. Some of these samples maybe nothing but more than samples from their enormous library. It goes to show you the possibilities that many of us weren't even aware could be achieved with only stacking these types of textures and sound design. What will set this plugin from everything else in this genre of VST's would be.... EXPANSIONS! Enjoy... I'm going to play with my Playbox.

@@thedeucecake I'm not sure, I could be wrong however, I think you're addressing me for posting on everyone's review that I like this VST so much. I'll admit, I'm starting to get some burn out after using straight for a few days. Seems like all my ideas are coming up Lofi... Stuck in a temp type thing... This plugin definitely in a particular genre,... I'm not quite sure which genre. Its definitely inspiring, and it can you up and working something fast.

Hey thank you for commenting!! The Komplete 13 Ulitmate is 🔥!!! Especially once you start to dive into the Various sounds. This plugin is Definitely dope to have in the Arsenal, but personally if I had the choice and I didn’t have one of the Komplete bundles I would have definitely got the Komplete bundle first and save up for this one down the line. This plugin is a must have though eventually😁 especially for jump starting that creative process.

I feel super excited about this just like you. It seems like people don't quite get it yet. When I thought to myself, "man, I wish Omnisphere had some of these features," that's when I knew this was the best thing in a long time.
Same here!! I swear if Omnisphere added some of these features it would kill the game. I really feel NI got it right with this one. I’m interested in seeing where they go from here. Making this the standard and expanding it. The ability to play individual notes would make this literally perfect. But I’m definitely it complaining! Thank you for commenting🙏🏾
Native bundle 2023 is $49, just Playbox and Replika are worth it but's there's 4 more VSTs in it, wow, $8 each, crazy value, the world must be coming to an end! 😅

Really great stuff, man! I enjoy your delivery and how you approach your videos. Compared to a lot of other UA-cam creators reviewing these Native Instrument plugins (and I've combed through a bunch), you've got a really good ear for sounds/chord progressions. I'm likely going to purchase the Music Essentials Bundle deal they have going on right now for $49 because of this demo & your Duets one. It seems like for this plugin alone, it's worth the $49. Would you agree?

Yea that’s true, it is kind of like a library of sounds that opens in Kontakt. Hopefully they add some additional expansions and sounds to the playbox. Thank you for commenting

Hey thank you for commenting!🙏🏾 that is a good question. I personally spent the $150 to get this. I think if you already have a lot of the NI products then paying the $150 straight up is the way to go. But if your just getting started and want to get a feel for NI products or just want to try things out then I would pay for the Komplete now subscription, because I believe it comes with this and a lot of other plugins which is a great deal in my opinion. If I’m not mistaken you can cancel the subscription so if you don’t like it then your good. I Just love NI products so I took the chance 😂
Great video man. Just subscribed to your channel. I use midi chord progressions, I don't have a keyboard, and when I drag my midi chords to this plugin it only plays some of my chords, not all of them... it's getting confusing. I use FL STUDIO 20 . Can anybody help me with this issue please?
Thank you so much I truly appreciate it!🙏🏾 That is a very good question. I haven’t done much with the Midi feature of this plugin. Have you tried to disable the EFX at the bottom to see if that’s the issue? Maybe one of the effects might be causing it to not play all the way through. Just a thought, I’m not sure if that’s your issue though. Again thanks for commenting and please let me know what you find out

Hey thank you for commenting🙏🏾 I would reach out to NI tech support to see if they could assist with you pin pointing the issue.
I got the VST up and running but I have a breaking issue. When most FX presets are loaded and the synth tries to play, the gain levels red line and all the music stops. It resets after a few seconds but if the FX setting in question is still in use, the system will overload again and repeat. If I turn off all of the FX, the synth will play. If I turn on the FX but disable the effects Tape, Charge & Reverb - the synth will play.
(Using "A Cute Piano" global preset for reference)
I've narrowed it down to something within the FX section of Playbox overloading the input. I have a beefy system running on 64-bit. CPU level barely goes above 5%. 32GB @ 3600
Have you run into this? Any ideas of what could be causing this issue?

Dang man I’m sorry. I know that must sucks, especially when you get a new plugin. I’m all out of ideas lol. Please let me know if you figure out what it is. Try and post this question in one of the Native Instruments user groups on Facebook. Also, reach out to NI tech support, they may have a work around. I know they had a few issues when the plugin in was first released. Sorry I wasn’t more help..

@@creativedwill I made that comment while watching, I will add Native Instruments and Output are kinda in a corporate war with Landr in the middle. It's not just a corporate war but also a battle for the city. Native Instruments is based in Hollywood, Output is just down the way in Downtown LA, and Landr is Santa Monica. PlayBox is Native Instrument's answer Output's Arcade and Landr just released its sample-based program that looks weird and uninteresting to me. For me, Native Instruments takes the W for this battle, two subscription-based programs vs. a pay once and done VST. All and all, when these companies compete, we win.
I didn’t know that! That’s dope information. I can see that this was a direct answer to Arcade. Yea I think they got the W as well. Especially for all that you get even if you do the subscription. I personally prefer to buy my plugins straight up. But I really rock with Arcade so I broke down and start a subscription. But with this I am thinking about ending my subscription.

The beauty is that you can reduce the sounds and samples in the chords to meet your needs. Any random combo can be customised, it just sets you off on a different path and you can take it where you want it. It is definitely a slightly different workflow but has given me loads of ideas and is pretty fun :)
Yea, so far it has given me loads of ideas as well. I’m finding that this is a perfect starting point for any project. It’s different but definitely very useful!!
