Hatred doesn't always have to be so dark and fast-paced; if I wanted outright rage, I would've made it differently. I was going for more of a silent anger, dreams of watching the world twist and turn, burning in the flames of chaos. More of a song of thought rather than action...or, that's how I saw it.
It was initially inspired by a character of his named Natsumi. She pretty much lives a life of hatred, so I started off making this with her in mind. However, I remembered that I wanted to make a song for a place of darkness and ruin, so I worked on making some segments more sad and atmospheric to blend in with the animosity. But yeah, the naming is intentional -- the looks I get from sharing this are priceless.
This doesn't really have much of a hatred feeling, more of a sadness, or maybe an urgency to find someone or something missing. Like, I could see this in a busy market place as someone rushes to find their lost child. But hey, beauty of art is how open to interpretation it is, right?
We all appreciate it when people like you post such long and well thought out comments that completely change our view of the video and what it means. It's amazing how we don't see more people like you.
During listening this tune(?) i always imagined it as Luna/NMM hatred towards Celestia being popular and stuff than Discord. Where prior to 1:49 it's "burning" part and after "1:50" it's "hatred".
Great song! :D It gives the feel of a hatred burning inside, but kept hidden. It kind of reminds me of Kingdom Hearts in a way, and that's good since I loved that series.
Beautiful. Even it's about hatred. Great that you did this track for a friend. I did the same this year. But you did a much better job that me. Excellent work.
I did; I took it down because I didn't like the way it turned out. It was my first attempt at dubstep, and I found more ways to correct all the wrongs in that song, not to mention I didn't want it to be the first thing people saw when they went to my profile. I can do electronic, but dubstep is going to take more time, especially without the aid of others (the tutorials on youtube didn't teach me what I've learned).
This song helped me write a section of a story of mine. It's a fun little story where I write a poem for a character from their perspective. This one assisted me in the writing of Pinkie's chapter. I had her go completely bonkers due to the deaths of RD, AJ, Rarity, and Fluttershy, and find a new hatred for Twilight. It was just so fitting. :3 I'm putting this in my iTunes in case I need to have a character go insane again.
Heh, I see. Is there anything related to her posted online? I like angry characters. :3 Also, you're not the only brony musician to do something like this for a friend/mate/etc. I just find it amusing. X3
Okay, this isn't really about this video but I don't know where else to ask this. Didn't you have a song a while back titled Legacy? It had a sort of electronic feel? I can't find it anywhere on UA-cam and I'm starting to wonder where the song titled Radiarc-Legacy" in my Windows Media Playlist came from.
All you want is fun. To be a rebel. To throw some pies, to blow some horns, to watch someone slide on a slippery floor. Of course there is a time when you must stop, but you weren't actually hurting anyone. So why did they hurt you?
+Brandon Peart I generally post links in the description, but since the person deactivated their account since my posting, I can't give a direct link to them. vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/mylittlebrony/images/f/f6/World_of_ponycraft_cataclysm_by_runmaru-d4fin9b.png/revision/latest?cb=20111110103014 should work, though.
Good song but i didnt feel that *Burning Hatred* Aspect it was more of a Run from Nightmares or a Dark Cathedral kinda theme for me, But eathier way still a great song.
Hmm. Not your best, I don't feel "Rage" explains this song in any way shape or form. This is more slow, emotional. Whereas one of rage should, more than likely, get your blood-pressure buidling. Good song, but maybe try reclaiming some of your earlier work referencing Discord, to add a little flair?

>Creates music for best friend
>Entitles it as "Burning Hatred"
Musicians have the weirdest sentiments sometimes...
That description reminds me of Dwarf Fortress, and the god Armok.
Very great piece.

"The worst kind of hate is built slowly, brick by brick of tragedy." That is what this song means to me. I felt the hatred in this song.
We all appreciate it when people like you post such long and well thought out comments that completely change our view of the video and what it means. It's amazing how we don't see more people like you.
I love the softer type of hatred indicated in this song, it's a rare sight(or sound?)
This is my favorite song you have done. The pacing is amazing, and the mood it invokes is superb.
it was posted three quarters of a year ago, why do you not have more veiws?! It's so good.

this is plain frickin' beautiful. I'd love to hear this in a concert!

This keeps suspense in my stomach! Gotta listen to Fluttershy's lament or somethin to let it loose.
Yet again, another masterpiece.
The more I use LMMS, the more respect I bear thee.
Never stop making music
Amazing. Simply amazing. No words.

If there's one phrase this piece makes me think of, it's "Some men just want to watch the world burn."

love it he does not hate them more he is sad but he mistakes it for hate
Not gonna lie, thought it was Deathwing until I took a second look.
Beautiful piece of music.
I am Discord, the Destroyer!
The End of All Things!
_Inevitable!_
_INDOMINABLE!_
*_I AM THE CATACLYSM!_*

I thought you were the lord of chaos and disharmony.
Heh, I see. Is there anything related to her posted online? I like angry characters. :3

Amazing...
Deathwing/Discord ^^ An Excellent pair
Loves. You get all the loves.
Another wonderful piece, but I wish that you had the organ play more and have a solid drive.

My response when I hear that ToonKriticY2K was doing inappropriate stuff online for a year, then got banned from: The Rift Cafe, D&D, etc.
Now used by VoiceOfReason for putting your hoof down For the entire video.
Am i the only one who thinks discord looks like charizard here.
Awesome work still!

So why did they hurt you?
I've been wondering, do you make your art yourself or get it from someone else?

@caroline wollan and this affects what I said.. How? I said it didn't feel like that at all to me.
Excellent music. Again. Like always. You should try making bad music sometime, then I could have something new to comment.
