I remember listening to this live. Mike Dickenson took a call from a man who exclaimed " I'm just sorry that the IRA never got to her sooner". Quite repulsive and unbelievably insensitive.
Does anyone else remember, earlier in the broadcast, Mike saying that initial reports said Di was unhurt and walked away from the accident (or something to that effect)?
Listened to this live as I’d just driven back from the airport after a holiday.. Am anti-Royal and always thought Diana was a money-grabbing bimbo but it was still a shock to hear it.
Well she certainly wasn’t a “ money grabber” as she was an exceptionally wealthy woman in her own right having come from aristocracy and she was no bimbo either! What she was, was a highly attractive and stylish young woman with great warmth and charisma and people took to her more than any other royal!
