this channel is fast becoming one of my favorites on youtube, great content. really enlightening to see such an in-depth look at how mr. Schwarz produces his music. saw him play live at Trouw once and it was fantastic.
what a beautiful studio space 😮. that's an old building isn't it? absolutely cozy! i can Understand how you get the headspace to get things done👍 Thanks for your insights.
@sundaymusicBerlin hi Henrik thanks a lot for the insights! I was wondering, I see some FX sends on the individual channels, but I think no Ableton return tracks. Are these sends all for sending it to the Lexicon through max4life? Or how have you set up the FX sends in this project? Thank you! :)
Hallo Henrik, thanks for sharing your workflow. Are those M4L hardware presets plugins available for the public? How much horsepower does your Mac have? Cheers
Computer is a Pro Max Macbook with a lot of Ram. I can share the M4L preset plug in here if you like. Needs to be cleaned up a bit I guess. Might take a little ...
Is his PCM90 connected via analog or digital? Would be interesting to see whether the AD/DA converters of the box make the difference or something that is purely in the algorithm/processing.
It is connected digitally. So it is not about the converters that makes the difference for me. It just sounds a touch more 3D than the software plug in ...
He would save so much cpu power by just routing all the tracks that need that side chain combo into one buss and compressing them together. Compressors stacked like that create latency and cpu load. And putting them near the end of the signal chain makes it even worse. But who am I to say anything, the man makes some of the best mixed electronic music imo.
@@sundaymusicBerlin thanks so much for always sharing your process and doing these types of interviews. I learn so much. Would love to see more about that custom midi controller/performance machine you have built too. We love to hear the nerdy stuff you think no body wants to hear!

True. Seeing an Ableton project from the man is gold :)
Seriously, the algorithm really failed on this one. The man is a legend, and it's a treat to see his process.
Only 258 likes is criminal for a masterclass from a legend like Henrik. Thank you Thomann, keep it coming!🌟
What a great and deep insight!! Thanks a lot!! Super interesting and helpful!!
one of my favourit producers of all time.
Great insight 🙌

you use a lot of outboard equipment, so how do you deal with latency? :)
hasn't been a big problem so far. I use external gear mostly for mixing. Ableton can adjust external latency as well.

What, no 4x3 aspect ratio?!?! Ok fine 2.39:1 is lovely too
Very interesting insights, but why don´t get a new processor? Free yourself from CPU-Load worries 😄
