I like the simple charcoal tone for this journal. Sometimes I like a bright lively colour and sometimes I like to grab a neutral one instead.
Yes, me too ... I think I get swayed but what I see on Instagram LOL. But I do like to change this up a bit.

I have have a Malden and love it but when you put a pen in pen loop (even using the filofax pen) the side tabs supplied get really squashed up when you close it. Have Filofax addressed this issue with this new special edition? I really want to get one but I am hesitant becuase of this problem.
I've tried in with a Filofax pen and the divider tabs that came along with the planner plus with my own DIY divider tabs and it doesn't get squashed up. I'll try either to take photos or do a video showing it and upload sometime soon.
Thanks for getting back. That is really helpful to know. Maybe with the one I had or even a batch of them the pen loop was stiched in the wrong place as there was no space at all left for side deviders. I will order this new edition as it looks so good. Does it have the long pocket in the back or is it stitched close like the other new maldens?
Do you mean the pocket on the side edge? No the personal size doesn’t, but the pocket I think does. Hope that’s what you meant. Let me know if not and I can answer further 😊

I don’t like this, very dull boring colour
Also hate the lime green stitching
At first I may have thought the same with the charcoal, but in real life it's actually quite nice. It's hard for me to get the right colouring on screen, but the stitching is actually gold. Plus monitor settings can make the colours look different too - best to check the Filofax website us.filofax.com/collections/malden. And for me, the Malden colour in Ochre is still the fave ☺
