So much fun, Nick!!! I was lucky enough to see 2 shows on the Musicology tour. I think I blacked out because I remember bits and pieces, but I know I had so much fun!!!! That little interlude was Beyoncé’s “Crazy in Love.” Yes, more Prince for sure (I’ll be sure to help with that 😂). Thanks for this one, Nick. I’m loving your Prince journey, and as I mentioned when we were messaging a bit, you have the best group of viewers/commenters. Everyone has been so kind and sweet and enthusiastic about all my Prince requests. I really appreciate it. 💜💜💜
@JJ I went to this tour also. It was my first time seeing him live. I think I was so mesmerized by him that I only remember bits and pieces too. I wish I remembered more of it.
R.I.P. Prince, gone way too soon, he's an absolute legend, one of the greatest of all time, Thank you JJLOVESPRINCE, Thank you Nick...great request, great reaction.
Loving these Prince reactions Nick 💜 please watch the previous song from this concert, ‘Shhh’, awesome drum solos and Princes guitar solos are exceptional. Another great one from this concert is ‘A Question of U/The One’ which is jaw dropping 💜 He’s just phenomenal live. I can’t think of a single Prince song that’s not better done live than on record. He’s the man! 💜
Such a wonderful clip! He knew how to stretch out his album cuts in person. I’ve told this story before, but I was at First Avenue in Minneapolis (where they filmed Purple Rain) for the 1999 album release party. They played the full double album and everyone danced. And Prince himself watched the action from a dark corner table in the back. And there were some big guys stationed between him and the crowd - they made sure nobody could get too close!
Thanks for another Prince video. DMSR is my favorite track by Prince, and this is a version I never saw before. I have a massive preference for live performances over studio tracks, so this was a special treat. I have an artist you have not yet reviewed on this channel who reminds me a bit of Prince, and who I think you will enjoy. Keep an eye out. See you on the next one.
I saw 3 main shows and two after shows on this tour and in 3 different cities. NYC, Philadelphia and New Jersey. The last tour that I saw him on the East Coast of North America before my career brought me to LA. One of the biggest tours of the year and even more successful than the Purple Rain tour. Mainly cause it was international. This was the year he got into the Rock Hall of Fame. And this considered his return to commercial success. It was actually mainly a hits tour with crazy deep cut after shows.
I loved his Musicology tour. It was sadly the last time I saw him live. However, I was blessed to have seen him many times in my lifetime. He is the absolute hands down best live performer ever!! There s a lot good videos on You Tube. Here’s a few videos to check out. The Question of U (there’s several great live performances available from various tours. They are all good) Empty Room 2009 Monteaux Jazz festival It’s Gonna Be a Beautiful Night (official video) America (official video) Anything from his 1992 Glam Slam club performance The Question of U /The One (performed live during the 2004 Musicology tour)
I was lucky enough to see one of the musicology shows, in Shreveport, Louisiana. My cousin and I had so much fun! I was soooo broke back then and couldn’t get the t shirt I wanted so bad but I still have the free cd that came with the ticket! Awesome performance and such a great memory!!!

@@tracynorman1455 I’m glad to hear that I’m not the only one. I saw him during the Jam of the Year tour and had that same experience. 😂😂😂
The best, just simply the best that has ever been. The total musician and entertainer.

Seen Prince many times live, was always an experience! Enjoying your reactions, may I suggest Motherless Child live, think u may enjoy! 💜
Prince is the one and only G.O.A.T. No one else comes close. Peace out.

Also threw in a quick rift from the Sheila E song, A Love Bizarre. Not sure if he wrote or composed that hit but he did do backing vocals
Yes, he wrote a Love Bizarre as well as Sheila's other big hit Glamorous Life...

Been a Prince fan all my life and I only got to see him live once - this tour in State College, PA. Awesome!!!!!

Also, Prince does an amazing performance of Play that Funky Music that really jams hard!!! You’ll love it!
I was at this tour. His acoustic sitdown was epic.
Beyonce's Crazy in Love is the mid beat you recognized, another great Prince reaction, 👍👍👍 👍
Beyonce sample that from the Chi-Lites song . Are You My Women ( Tell Me So )
@@charlesjohnson6714 Yeah you are right, I forgot, but that year Beyonce fully owned it, after their big Grammy duet.
Tower of Power and EWF are two bands Prince admired.
Prince played a lot of instruments. He played his audience as well as any other instrument.
Candy Dulfer on sax. Check out some of her live performances.
A este lo conozco pero no lo escuche nunca.🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷💪👍🤘
Nick, isn't that familiar sound, Destiny's Child? I heard that sound on the radio and that's the first thing I thought of.
I think it's Beyoncé - Crazy In Love (Jay Z is a serial sampler ^^)
@@julientardieux yes, I believe it is, she's in Destiny's Child, right?
JJ, hmm
JJ he needs guitar lol
