Armida Parsi-Pettinella - O mio Fernando - (1906)

Armida Parsi-Pettinella (alto, 1868 - 1949) sings "O mio Fernando" from "La Favorita" by Donizetti, recorded in 1906. This version is with piano accompaniment only - she recorded the same aria again in 1907 with orchestra. Original Fonotipia Record No 39827, played on a travelling arm gramophone based on the "Trade Mark model", but of modern construction, with refinements. (See Experimental Monmouth Gramophone No 1).

Terrible performance. Not her best, as when she sang Mignon or Adalgsia.
