- The big boys came out to play today. A McLaren 720S and a Tesla Plaid came out to see if they had what it took to beat my Moore Mafia Edition Yamaha R1M.

Damn you got that R1 set up so well!! The way you can pin it in 1st gear and it just hook and blow without pulling a huge wheelie. That is commendable. Helps you can ride a bike too. Do you plan on doing more to the engine other than bolt on?

This could easily be the fastest R1 out there with the stance..Max Wrist couldn't catch a Plaid on his S1000RR about a year ago..
@@cobimoni Max wrist also doesn’t remove important parts just for roll racing. I’m sure Chris’s bike has a lot more done than he puts on camera, dust seals removed, chain o rings removed etc.
@Moore Mafia, Chris will the flash you've done to this M model be available for the non M model R1 ? Once it's dialed in 100% to your liking of course ? Might just sway me from a new 14 ,even though I'm a Yamaha guy. Thanks for choosing this platform to do this on. Very interesting to say the least. Maybe some MR 12 next ?

I’m almost done fixing my Yamaha r1 but I don’t know where the two hoses under the gas tank go to. I believe they are called a breather hose and a fuel tank drain hose. I have them connected to the tank but I don’t know where they connect into the bike? I’m new to this stuff and it’s probably something simple but it’s getting me annoyed lol

It's a bike vs a car, and it needed a roll at that. I'd take a tesla plaid any day. If bikes wanna race cars then there's plenty of drag prepped 1000+ hp cars to choose from.

Then there suped up bikes that are stretched and lowered with turbo etc that will smack your 1000hp or even 1800hp cars at that

That's a 900 bhp 720 S.

Lol. The plaid isn’t close to this 720. The 720 was spinning.
Plaids run 60-130 mod to high 4’s. Tuned 720’s are mid 3’s. Do research.
@@executiveinvestments true, definitely something wrong with the 720, either spinning like a Mf or NOT Stage 2.

Hey Chris!! You can change the power mode even if you are rolling, you just have to keep the throttle closed!!
On some of the Yamaha's you have to pull the clutch in, with the throttle closed.
I dont know about that but on the MT10 - MT09 - R1 that I have tried.. it lets you switch the power mode.. If you take a closer look at the time when Chris tries to change the mode, the "PWR" is dark as long as he is rolling with open throttle, when he lets off the throttle it becomes white. If it's white it means you can change it.

On my FZ09, I could switch while riding as well, as long as you were completely off the throttle......
I have an R1, it switches while moving. Now if u have a code it won't let u change, .. I've had that happen a few times, and am like wondering what I am doing wrong, and then WTF, then realize oh crap code is blocking me. Yeah, I'm sure..everyone already knows, right.. funny.. when u don't realize it's a code keeping u out, till like when u realize u r a dumb ass..

My Yamaha mt09 lets me change the power mode when I pull the clutch. If that doesn't work, try neutral with the clutch lever pulled.
I know it's a different bike, but their logics are often similar.
I think it only changes power mode if you chop the throttle. At zero throttle you should be able to.

Wait. We’re you able to put different maps on each power mode Chris? Because when I had the 19 R1 it wouldn’t allow you different maps only different throttle settings in those power modes.

Take a full prepped 14R and gen3 busa with flash and exhaust and try it against both cars.

You can change mode when you ride , but you have to release the throttle to change mode.

that 100lbs less and setup is huge coming off the Busa and zx14...these new 1000s are so insane it makes me regret ever buying a 2009 r1...LFC, TC, quickshifter, SLC, LED everything, lighter weight 25+ more whp easy etc damn theyre so good

The 720 was never in race/track mode you can tell it wasnt by the instrument panel not folded down where it then only shows the RPM tach.
