You two are awesome!!! Wish we could meet! We are about to take our first Princess Emerald Cruise to New England and Canada. Thanks for all of the great info!!! Happy cruising!!!
So excited for my Celebrity Infinity cruise in December! I'm super excited to hear that the food was amazing...I was concerned since this is a smaller, older ship, but it sounds fantastic! The food is something I look forward to the most!
I had a problem with noise too... A dear friend snored like a buzzsaw... I went to guest service and they gave me complimentary foam plugs, but they did not block out the sound enough so I just bought Mack's earplugs which they had at one of the shops on Emerald Princess. Sounds like the person nextdoor to you needs a hearing aid. I wonder if there is a noise ordinance in the cruise contracts we sign? Or a good neighbor policy? Also, I wonder if there's a definitive guide to which cruise ports beed an excursion vs which ones are intersting enough that you could save your money.
Maybe the person next door did need a hearing aid. Good point. Even though there’s no definitive Port Guide there’s so many UA-cam videos on each place. I think we did the least research on Limassol and just assumed because there was a free shuttle there would be a lot to do.
Another great video folks. We have only 19 days to go for our Greek cruise on Infinity. Thanks for the heads up on all the good and the bad. Surprised that at half capacity they never moved you to another cabin because of the selfish person next door. Anyway enjoy your next cruise in May. Take care from Bob and Irene.
Thank you so much for watching. They did offer to move us. By this time (when it got bad and he clearly couldn’t take a hint) it wad day 7 of 10. We were settled. Who wants to take time out of their vacation to completely repack then unpack again. Plus we kept hoping he’d respect the crew when he was being asked to lower the volume. He did but then the next morning or evening it was always blasting again. What a selfish jerk and how rude:
OMG I'm on the that same cruise. My name is Milton. I hope to meet you and your family. I'm traveling solo and you can find me in the smoking section or the casino. If you find me please say hello. Have a good and safe trip.
Let me see if I understand this. During COVID, the Oasis of the Sea operated at ½ capacity. The logic for doing this was to provide a safe space between passengers. Yet, the ship blocked off half the tables, causing the remaining passengers to be crowded together. Is there some logic to this that I’m not seeing? I recall reading about many COVID infections that began on these ships. Now, I understand why. I love the Acropolis of Athens. When I was in Greece, it was one of the sites I wanted to go to, but every time I made arrangements, something came up, and I wasn’t able to visit. There is a bit of trivia about the Acropolis of Athens, also called the Parthenon. During the 1687 siege by the Venetians during the Morean War, the Parthenon suffered severe damage because some mental midget stored their gunpowder inside. When cannon fire blew up the gunpowder, it caused many of the columns to collapse. Beginning in 1975, serious restoration began, and over the years, the columns were reassembled so that you can get a fair idea about how they initially looked. Additionally, the original formula for the mortar that sealed the column pieces was lost. To replace the lost mortar, Gorilla Glue was invented. It worked so well that the Greeks commercialized the formula. I have to say that I am puzzled by the name Gorilla Glue. To my knowledge, no primates have been seen in or around the Acropolis. Larry from Texas - We also do not have primates running around, but we do have rednecks, which are similar.
Thanks for engaging Larry and yes you are right about the Oasis running at half capacity. Lots of silly rules that made no sense actually forcing people to squish together instead of socially distance. The one truly amazing thing about that cruise was that we were the only ship at COCO CAY and it WAS at half capacity so we had the run of the Island. That was truly magical. Thank you for the trivia!😂 Best- Laurie & Gary
They did. By the time it was evident he wasn’t going to stop it was day 7 of 10. Who wants to pack up all their luggage, completely move, and unpack 7 days into their 10 day trip? It would have taken almost a whole other day off of our vacation. Also only 2 Sea Days total so we may have missed out on either a Port or a show.
I was on this exact cruise and had a much better experience than you. I did my research beforehand and planned what to see and where to eat in each port, it was fabulous, even Limassol! The ship was wonderful too and we had zero problems with the Wi-Fi in the stateroom.
We had a great time. We are just giving our personal best and worst. Just because some things weren’t ideal doesn’t make it an overall bad experience. There’s just always room for improvement. Also we were definitely not the only passengers complaining about Limassol so we just want to warn people that there’s not much to do at the port so they can make their own educated decision to book an excursion. Also, I’m glad you had 0 problems with the wifi in your room but that wasn’t our experience so future cruisers could be warned that that is a possibility or maybe Celebrity will look into this and fix the problem because it was definitely a problem. Again though, if you watched our vlogs or listened to this whole video the “good” definitely outweighed the “bad” and overall we both think it was an incredible cruise vacation.
All cruises should ban sound systems. There's no reason to bring it. This is something I have to deal with in Mexico all the time. People are so inconsiderate.
I agree. Also, if it was in the middle of the day fine, but not only was it early in the morning and late night but he was asked multiple times by security to stop.
Wonderful video! So entertaining and funny! Keep ‘em comin’! We love them!!
Thank you for your video. At Cyprus you said alot of shop was close. I think it was Sunday. In Europe alot of shops close on Sunday.
We were there on a Wednesday. I just double checked. We were in Athens on a Sunday.
It was very inconsiderate for your neighbor to play to play music at 1am and 7am. But $400 future cruise credit is nice. Thank you again
@@miltongee1627 we agree and were happy with the future cruise credit. Good on Celebrity.
Can’t wait to watch! Thank you both for your perspectives.❤
Thank you so much for watching!

@@miltongee1627 hey Milton, we’ve come and gone. Check out our vlogs on this cruise.
@@laurieGaryCruise sorry for miscommunication. I was trying to let Bob and Irene know that we are going on the same cruise.
@@miltongee1627 oh lol, no we are sorry. Sometimes the notifications come up in weird orders.

So glad you enjoy!!!!💖
Gee at half capacity one might think they could have offered you a different / better accommodation due to,your neighbor.

Thanx for the info.
Of course!
Cyprus is an independent country, not part of Greece.
