Nice video. I have one question though. In the beginning you mentioned Socrates' claim that the soul is only one thing and individable. This was the fundament of the argument for the immortality of the soul in the Phaedon. Do you know by chance how the immortality of the soul works despite this tripartition of the soul?
My take is that all three elements of soul are always present; there is one soul. However the gusto that each aspect brings foreword is subject to change. A logical soul may require zest in the spirited area when it is the time for decisive action just as a spirited soul may require prudence in a chess match. The nature of the soul, like the nature of city grows to its Form depending on the job that takes the drivers seat in relation to the other two jobs.
