I really liked that they are hinting at the commonalities between the Chinese and the Irish. Both with the Police Chief treating Leery as lesser, and towards the end when Leery and Ah Sahm are talking. Historically, the railroad executives viewed divisons between the Irish and the Chinese as a way to prevent railroad workers from uniting and going on strike for better pay and conditions. Railway executives in history also used Black workers for similar divisons. From PBS: "They advocated taking advantage of the Freedmen's Bureau to provide African American labor from the East. Hopkins theorized, "A Negro labor force would tend to keep the Chinese steady, as the Chinese have kept the Irishmen quiet."" I really hope the show goes in a direction showing that despite our racial differences, racism is ultimately a tool used to keep the common man down and exploited
Father Jun is one of my favorite characters for sure. I feel like there are a lot of first generation immigrants who can relate to having a father figure similar to him. Old school, do your duty, take no shit, handle your business, respect me or you’re my enemy kind of guy. Would love to see a breakdown of why Father Jun is your favorite character.
@@terrelltownsend8016 I agree. Li Yong is a super cool character. Badass fighter but extremely honorable. Taking pages right from Dom Torreto’s play book and respects everyone’s family
Hey great recap! Love your enthusiasm. I feel for Bill. I’m just sorry I have to be such a bastard to him and his beard! Keep banging the Warrior drum 🥁!!! Love Horace
Funny your observation about Yan Mi putting on that see-through robe getting out of bed, which they show similar things in movies and shows all the time. The most ridiculous thing I see when it comes to sex scenes on screen is when they show people having sex and the actress still has her bra or some kind of top on. 💯 unconvincing, 😅
I love the series but hate how they write the Black characters. Abigail telling Happy Jack to his face in a previous episode that a White man is better than he was in the late 1800's is crazy to me, and eventually having Abigail kill him is insane. The only person protecting her was Happy Jack. And hearing the back story about her husband being his brother makes what she did even worse. The only way the writers can make this make sense is if we learn she was a house slave or the product of a interracial "relationship". The only thing I've learned so far from this show is that it's ok for every other character to have a duality in their character. It's even in the title "Gotta be crooked to get along in a Crooked world", I guess that only applies to every other people but Black people. SMH...
I have to disagree that Ah Sahm was not in the wrong after what happened in Chinatown where the Irish executed Jacob let alone you kill a child and put him on display as an example I'd be pretty hot about that too you have to ask yourself if it was someone else's child they were beating on like a grown adult would you be able to honestly say you could let that pass.........me I personally could not
You didn't talk about the part Leary goes in to china town and warns Ah sahm and his boys and assures ah sahm he's there as a messenger and that he should keep his boys out as he keeps his in..to stop irishmen from rioting the beauty of this coversation is at the end we see mutual respect btwn leary and sahm bcoz both have tested each others fists and both wants best for their pple even though ahsam told leary "i dont run chinatown" he didn't believe him..by the way m kenyan watching from nairobi waiting 4 next episodes
The woman in white with the sword (forgot her name) is taking revenge by herself. But who's going to get sliced? That's what I'm looking forward to most for the next episode.
Ok so Mai ling is only inviting Ah-toi because she knows that whore-house has that “filthy-Lucre. And I actually welcome a little bit of class in the lady covering herself. It symbolizes her wanting a real relationship with this man, and not wanting to appear as “loose”. That’s the symbolism of that in in the show .Film 101 sir 😂
This season is mediocre and i deleted the downloads after watching. Just wasnt worth saving. Needs more of the white cops, white woman window who asam screwed around with, whore house nudity, and those Genghis khan tong. I dont get tired of watching season one and two
Terminé de ver la tercera temporada y esperando la cuarta..una serie de IMPACTO..
This show is so UNDERRATED 🔥 and we need more so good everything is written so well!
Thanks for covering warrior.
That look young June gave AhSom 👀 if looks could kill!

I like that Long Yi walks him back to the Hop Wei instead killing or beating him up.

Even though it was a filler episode i liked the end when Joe taslim walked father Jun back home. It was probably a threat in a way though....😒
Great episode!
This episode felt like a filler episode to set up the next one. Hopefully nothing too crazy happens at a wedding on an HBO MAX show 😅
👍🏽
Bill is working for his brother in law

Right lol
I think she feels like she’s getting the can and she can’t steal anymore cash if hop Wei is in there.
Was surprised to see father Jun outlive happy Jack
That "self serving asshole" got what he deserved & that was nice of Long Yi to walk Father Jun back to the Hop Wei.

Young Jun is going to kill Ah Sam's girl all hell will break loose

Dang you right. Come through in an hour for the LIVE stream

Lai is her name.
