Correct ! Peter, l was very fortunate to be at the Dawlish air show when "VERA ", the Candian Lancaster and our own Lancaster displayed and we were sat on an upward hill from the display . I swear that we could almost touch them as they swept past ! We also shared the same exhilaration as the Vulcan displayed .Halcyon days , sadly never to be repeated ......unless "Just Jane " bares fruit ! .....touch wood !
@@peterdunne8107 My uncle was navigator in Lancasters (who survived the war ) and sadly another uncle was killed in a Halifax flying as pilot in the "Pathfinders"

I wish I had been there to see them. My uncle was a rear gunner and radio operator in the Lancaster bomber during the war.
