A beautiful Ajrara Kayda demonstrated by Pandit Anindo Chatterjee. In 2005 Sangeet Piyasi organized a 8 day long Classical music festival in Kolkata to celebrate birth centenary of Tabla Maestro Pandit Krishna Kumar Ganguly of Beneras Gharana. This video is a part of that concert.

Rupak Bhattacharjee I respectfully disagree, and I think Anindo-ji himself would disagree with you on this point. Anindo-ji is no doubt great, but mighty tabla players of the past such as Habibuddin Khan, Anokhelal Mishra set the standard and are held in the highest esteem. There is another video clip where Anindo-ji has stated that he is playing only 30%-40% of what Habibuddin Khan-saheb did, so I think it's important to keep some perspective on these things.

@@deepranjanghosh1851 Very interesting comment. "We" would mean you and people currently alive. But there have been players in the past too, you know. Our knowledge is limited by the resources available to us. And to just counter for the sake of it, Ustad Ahmed Jan Thirakwa was a terrific speed player. How do you think he would have played this above composition? Just food for thought.

Never seen a tabla player in this time other than him who plays so much different compositions and that too perfectly executed. It shows his long years of riyaaz. Simply awed by his performance everytime i watch him. A treat for classical tabla lover.
